Isn't it actually Gruden's job to judge RG3? I bet you were one of the people screaming "Give Jason Campbell a chance!" when he was shitting all over the Skins in 2009. p.s. Yes I know Zorn had a hand in that. |
Re: Pregame Thread: Redskins vs Colts
Listening to Cooley on the evening drive today. He says McCoy has a great relationship with the offense already and they believe he can move the offense. He adds that practice has been Sharp this week as a result.
We HAVE pretty good weapons on the O. But we have to have somebody at the helm that can facilitate the operation of it. Who knows? Maybe he can get some things done until we figure out a.....permanent direction at QB. |

Whether Gruden wanted him or Snyder wanted To see what we had in Griff or any combination of who wanted what. Im past the drama, but I wont get over the what could have been for this season. I truly think Colt would have put us over the top against San Fran and Minny. Those two wins would be huge rite now. Not to mention maybe Gruden wanted KC in week one?. Remember how abysmal our offense was in that game? Does KC get us another score? Thats three wins left on the table hedging someones bet on Griff. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

And yeah, I agree with your other points. I'm all about letting guys play to develop, but not before they're ready(Griffin isn't). I agree with the decison to start McCoy, I just don't think he's anything other than a serviceable backup that will get us to the offseason on all fours instead of crawling on our belly. Yep, and Griffin had a perfectly placed bomb against Tampa Bay that Garcon dropped.
I guess you're talking about me. I never said those words, so if you are going to quote someone. You should do it correctly or you just look like an ass. I said he's done everything right for this franchise and deserves his shot to play. Shit, we've had John fucking Beck get his shot and Rex Grossman. Both of which have played better then RG3 has this season. Colt be the answer the next 10 years? No, most likely not.. Doesn't mean he can't be the answer for the next 4-5 while we develop an O-Line and Safety. |
Re: Pregame Thread: Redskins vs Colts
Can everyone please never mention john beck again. I always throw up alittle bit in my mouth.

Lol. I murdered myself with reading comprehension. Regardless. Everything hes done has shown he can be a starter for this franchise. Not thr future though. To soon for that.
Man.. I could of swore I read that you said he was the Future.. Unless you edited it.. hmmm lol. Still valid though. |
Re: Pregame Thread: Redskins vs Colts
Rooting for McCoy. He's humble and likable, solid all around. If his only major weakness is a weak arm I can live with it.

Re: Pregame Thread: Redskins vs Colts
A little tired of the drama that surrounds Griffin. Hopefully things quiet down now that he's benched. Let's see how Colt does. Not sure I liked him at first but he's acted like a true pro this year. Can't help but root for a guy like him. Humble, been through some stuff himself, really hope he goes out there, runs the offense and executes basic NFL plays that Griffin couldn't. Colts still win but I expect a close game.

Come on, you know the Skins are going to ball out because if they end up benching RG3 and McCoy sucks hard, the whole organization might as well move out of DC and change names. Media and fans are going to ride Gruden and the entire FO into the ground. |

it doesn't matter rave, we suck and it's not going to get any better anytime soon smh.

Revolution, man. :joecool:
Great observation. He isn't getting a fair shake is he. Everyone can see that Gruden is trying to ruin him. What is he thinking calling plays where his QB would have to look at more than one receiver and turning the game on it's head by reading both sides of the field. I mean gee whiz. Sometimes he only has one or two open receivers on a play. Last year the coach kept him down too. I have my credit card ready to buy a "Operation Prove the Haters Wrong" Tshirt. The O line is out to get him. The sack stats show it. Griffin gets sacked like crazy compared to Kirk and Colt. The receivers hate him. They are dropping balls out of spite. (To hell with their own numbers and contracts) They are even throwing up their arms after plays to show how much they don't like him. In fact, every GM in the league must be out to get him. All these really smart football people can see what a crappy job Gruden and his surrounding cast are doing and they still estimate Griffin's trade value as a 5th or 6th round pick. (I think before the season Kirk was valued as a 4th.) Surely, they are intentionally low balling the market value of a running QB who can't/won't run to ruin him in the league. The Patriots will probably pick him up off waivers to replace an aging Brady. They know in Boston that pocket passing stuff is overrated. Kid just needs a real shot to prove all the haters wrong. Not a coach, team, and league who are all out to get him. It's the Pats or the CFL! |
Re: Pregame Thread: Redskins vs Colts
I'm looking forward to the game. I'm certainly interested to see if the offense runs more like it's supposed to with a different guy under center. I don't give a fiddler's fart if McCoy is the long term solution or not. I just want to enjoy a game for once.

The game? Who cares about the game? Every Redskins fan is so caught up in the never-ending soap opera that is the Washington Redskins ever since Dan Snyder bought the team that we hardly have time to enjoy a game. Of course we all just want to enjoy a game for once. That's why I'm training myself to root for "my team" in the naive way I did when I was a kid, that is, with blind faith and unbridled enthusiasm. That's the ticket to Redskins Fan happiness, Baby! |

I completely agree! The posts from 'Gary' do seem a little suspicious. As for the game today, I agree that most likely the Redskins will lose, but it will be interesting to see how well Colt does play. It will also be interesting to see if the O-Line and the Wide Receivers look better with Colt at QB. If the Redskins Defense can play like they did last week, and the Special Teams plays solid like last week, I strongly believe that the game will be close. And who knows, maybe Colt can pull out a win. |
