Re: Four Five Six Seven
ESPN just described the Redskins draft perfectly: tough guys.

I think this kid is going to surprise, he could be our next Fletcher |
Re: Four Five Six Seven
I like it, he has burst, could be a little faster, but seems to have no problem dropping in coverage and looks to be pretty decent at read and react from the tape I've seen..

Yup. Fast and a hard hitter. |

Agreed. |
Re: Four Five Six Seven
Since most of the top known qbs have been drafted, it's time soon to draft Halliday before he's snatched up by someone else. At least by the next 2 picks.
|
Re: Four Five Six Seven
It'll either be secondary help or Halliday with next 2 if there's a good db still available.

Next logical thing to do- Cousins put on trade block. |
Re: Four Five Six Seven
Next logical thing to do -,Cousins put on trade block.
I think id rather have Cousins than your guy but who knows. I still feel like Cousins has a chance. Especially with the upgrades being made on offense. Line, wr, blocking rb. |

The Redskins have 2 qb that they have given opportunities and waited for patiently to develop in RGIII and Cousins. And they have a veteran backup already in McCoy. They need a developmental qb to take a chance on. The great teams in the league seem to draft a qb every year. |
Re: Four Five Six Seven
Some good defensive backs still available.
|
Re: Four Five Six Seven
If Ifo Olomu is still available when we pick, I would take him
|
Re: Four Five Six Seven
Trade?!?
|
Re: Four Five Six Seven
... why this late?!?
|
Re: Four Five Six Seven
They traded, I know we have 3 6 rounders. Also got another 6th rounder next year.

Re: Four Five Six Seven
I think they should draft La'el Collins if he is still available. What a steal that would be.

Re: Four Five Six Seven
I'm really, really liking this draft. I'm thinking secondary help coming soon. Wasn't Seattle's secondary mostly put together with 5th rounders or lower? Of course that's unless Scott M. sees someone at another position head and shoulders above the rest. That being said, he does some of his best work in later rounds and we'll probably get help from whatever player or position he chooses. Anyway, adding picks, what a novel idea. I didn't know the Washington Redskins were allowed to do this.
Agreed
Why bother, he wont sign. |
Re: Four Five Six Seven
Yea he already came out and said he isn't signing if not drafted on day one... Shame, hope it all works out for him, tough situation.

Not if he wasn't going to sign the contract., which they've already stated they would not have. |

Heres our safety.

I dont have a problem at all with trading this late. They are all crapshoot guys so why not take a chance on two of them instead of one? |
Re: Four Five Six Seven
I imagine that tevin smith pick is more a safety than olb at 184 lbs. I see we got the hokie safety Jarrett....hmmm when is the last time he got a safety from va tech...kam chancellor? McC continuing to get big hitters...even though Jarrett is small, he was known as a thumper at tech

Re: Four Five Six Seven
7th round pick was spent on a center.
Austin Reiter. Good luck finding info on him. NFL.com is blank. |
Re: Four Five Six Seven
Ohio State WR Evan Spencer sounds interesting. Big, physical and fast. Likes to block and mix it up. What intrigues me is he was on a talented crowded team so his playingtime was not what others had. Has a good pedigree and plays with ganas.

None of our Qb's are worth anything on the open market. SM has already stated that no one called on KC and he didn't want to trade him anyway. Would have liked to see a young guy come in but it didn't work out. Whether we like it or not, it looks like we're rolling with the same three guys from last year. |

I'm excited about Crowder. Looks like an immediate contributor on offense.
