Red zone issues are troubling. Have to put more points on the board. I think some of it's play calling, execution, lack of a run game. Where is Jordan Reed when we get down there?
For the Offense, for sure the no#1 thing is red zone offense and on the defense our no 1 issue is getting off the field on 3rd downs.

This is where our focus should be....probably an honorable mention is continue to playcall and gameplan the running game better. I don't think execution has been bad with the running game...
How about some love for Trent Murphy? He's been balling out so far.
Speaking of Trent Murphy, it's becoming apparent that the Skins tried to move the wrong player inside. I think Preston Smith could be effective if used as an inside pass rusher on a regular basis.

Smith has a bigger frame than Murphy and could more easily put on weight to move inside permanently. He reminds me a lot of Justin Tuck who caused a lot of problems to offenses even though he was not the biggest DE in the world.

Usually when I read about someone losing weight or gaining muscle I just roll my eyes a little bit. It's been done before and it's not like there have been stellar reasons.

I was SO wrong about Murphy. Without being able to see his number, a few times I've been like, "Who is that guy?! Can't be Kerrigan, because he would be getting held around the neck with no flag." He has been beasting out for sure.

For you Sullivan lovers:

A source confirms that the Redskins will sign veteran center John Sullivan with questions surrounding starting center Kory Lichtensteiger and his calf injury. The NFL Network first reported the signing.

Steiger to IR, so long. It's funny all our old guys are in IR and done. Salary purge.

So I guess Long back to guard and TW back in his original spot?

Is it me or should Deshawn Phillips see the bench this weekend or would you give him a last shot this weekend?

Dude had a terrible day.

Also, Cravens needs more playing time....Wil Compton sit? Foster needs to step it up too. We need to get more from our ILBs period. So Im officially putting Compton and Foster on notice.

He'll see the bench with a hamstring strain
That said, where do you play him? You play him at LT. There is no question of that. To win in this league, you must keep edge rushers off of your QB, particularly from the blind side. LT is the second most valuable position in NFL, behind only the QB position. He will start at LT against Cleveland.
The ball was out of Kirk's hands on the vast majority of the passing plays where it wouldn't make a difference.

We would be limited on 3rd and longs on 7 step drops, but if you wanted to throw it down the field in other situations just play action.

They would probably bite on play action because Trent and Ty would give us 4 to 5 yards a carry.

They looked so stout on that last drive.
