Re: Skins V Ravens PS WEEK 4 Thread
Is Sims playing? No action
|
Re: Skins V Ravens PS WEEK 4 Thread
3rd and goal @ 15, a draw? Aren't we trying to find a wr in the end zone?
|
Re: Skins V Ravens PS WEEK 4 Thread
Halftime:
Kelly and Quinn loiked great. Perine fumbles again Backup guards are a problem. Apke could lose roster spot |
Re: Skins V Ravens PS WEEK 4 Thread
I have our 2017 2nd and 3rd round picks getting cut.
Somehow people are still convinced we are having good drafts. |
Re: Skins V Ravens PS WEEK 4 Thread
Seriously, Apke versus Bibbs or Simms for a roster spot.
It's not even close. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk |

Re: Skins V Ravens PS WEEK 4 Thread
well shit, you are correct.
I was thinking Perine was a 3rd. |
Re: Skins V Ravens PS WEEK 4 Thread
Does Hamilton look like he gives up on plays too soon?
|
Re: Skins V Ravens PS WEEK 4 Thread
Hogan just sealed his cut.
I'm not getting all this bibbs love. We need to think about cutting Apke, and get a vet, cut a backup Guard and get a vet. Our defense has serious tackling fundamental failure issues. This team is certainly not ready for primetime....just not competing with other teams. I sure hope I am wrong. Before preseason, with Guice, I thought we could hit 9 wins...not, probably 7. I have no faith in our defense high talent or not. |
Re: Skins V Ravens PS WEEK 4 Thread
halfway through 3rd quarter and no Perine? is he injured? it should be all his show right now
|
Re: Skins V Ravens PS WEEK 4 Thread
bibbs is essentially a WR

Re: Skins V Ravens PS WEEK 4 Thread
I think Anderson sticks, but I do think Perine's in a lot of danger.

Re: Skins V Ravens PS WEEK 4 Thread
Hogan is definitely gone we need that spot for other positions
|
Re: Skins V Ravens PS WEEK 4 Thread
Not sure this game clarified the final WR....Sims did nothing, Quick with a ridiculously easy catch for a td, Cobbs had a nice grab.
The RB's are clearer to me as Kelly is a lock, Perine? eh. Bibbs...eh. Apke sucks...and I've been keeping my mouth shut on him....we've got serious tackling problems...and Safety is still a concern, Swearinger really aint that good. Safety needs help, Backup guards need help, edge needs help, 4th RB needs help (yes Perine, I mean you) 6th WR aint amazing, or Hogan doesn't understand on how to throw high to guys that are 6'5" (which is true). I am not a fan of Hamilton. And with all the hype at Dline, to me the jury is out because our coordinator is below average. I absolutely love Quinn, and Kelly is growing on me...it seems the Coach knew what he was talking about...perhaps since he sees practice and we don't he's got a better eye. Perine mystifies me unless he got hurt....after the fumble, he was done...not sure what gives. Hogan is not good enough for a 3rd backup role...there are far better. It's a shame about Guice, as we have so few playmakers |
Re: Skins V Ravens PS WEEK 4 Thread
I like Smith (RB) they brought him in when they brought AP in.

How so? because he can run against guys that will be sitting next to us on the couch next week? Pretty sure he was picked up just to avoid further injuries, as that is apparantly the goal of preseason. :) |
Re: Skins V Ravens PS WEEK 4 Thread
Everrett is likely safe, based on poor Apke play
|
Re: Skins V Ravens PS WEEK 4 Thread
Look for us to add help at Guard and Safety/corner.
Wonder if we make calls trying to move Perine? I don’t know if he would make it to the practice squad when cut. |
Re: Skins V Ravens PS WEEK 4 Thread
I saw a TE easily handle Anderson while he rushed the passer.

yeah i'd rather have Everett , Apke started out looking good but hasn't the last 2 games. Still a rookie tho |

He's just not a good NFL LB, Lacks speed and quickness |
Re: Skins V Ravens PS WEEK 4 Thread
There is no way after last night that Kelley gets cut. Kelley is basically Gruden's 3rd son. But on top of that he looked like the more complete back and if given holes he can gain yards. I guess that's the basic requirement of an NFL back.

They just need to cut him or move him inside. |

Most importantly he doesn't fumble. Kelley has had a good offseason, he's pretty much done anything the coaches have asked him to do. He gets a bum rap with the fans. |

He is not a flashy player but he is very solid. He is a stone cold lock to make the team and he has earned it, On the other hand, Perine must be hanging on by a thread in the eyes of the coaching staff. He really needed to show that he fixed his fumbling problems and he hasn't done that. I wouldn't be shocked if the Skins brought in yet another back from outside the organization. |

They should have played him at ILB from Day 1. Honestly, I wonder if the coaches have inadvertently retarded his career by playing him out of position. I'd love to see him get a chance as an ILB. He might just surprise us all. For now, he could work at both positions. |

Re: Skins V Ravens PS WEEK 4 Thread
I want my team to be deep enough at RB such that neither Perine nor Kelley have a shot at cracking the top 3-4 RBs spots.
But we're not. We have All Day and we have CT. After that, we're stuck with inadequate players. Given the choice between the two, I'd take Kelley over Perine. At least Kelley holds onto the football. |

We need better than just a guy starting at RB. Kelley does everything ok but he should not be a starter. Chris Thompson is our only game breaker on offense(Hopefully Richardson can step up). Without him and his big plays against the rams and niners, this would've been 5-11 last year. I hope we keep Kelley and Bibbs to backup AP and CT. |

(Haven't finished watching the game yet). The one DB that has been disappointing so far is Adonis Alexander IMHO. He looks scared of contact. |
Re: Skins V Ravens PS WEEK 4 Thread
Hard to find any real positives in this game, but since it's all about individual evaluation:
+ -Stroman -Settle -Taylor -Kelley -JP Holtz continued to play well at FB, also caught a 2 balls as a TE, nice TD catch -RB De'Veon Smith looked good late in the game, don't think that's enough to earn a spot, but good for him - -We only have 6 decent Olinemen on the roster -Adonis Alexander seems to be decent in coverage but couldn't tackle my grandma in a one on one drill -Hamilton is looking like a bust right now Sidenote: Don't know what to think about Apke. He's shown how he can turn his physical abilities as a real asset, but tackling seems to be an issue. This could be improved. Not sure he gets cut because they drafted him knowing this would be a project... Could this pick have been better used? Certainly. |
Re: Skins V Ravens PS WEEK 4 Thread
I love Apke's potential, but would have LOVED a plug in/potential plug in left guard in the 4th round

Drafting Apke in the 4th round was a mistake when it happened and its a mistake now. Definitely could have got a guy way more already to contribute. He needs to turn into Steve Tasker to justify the pick. |

Safety is one of those positions where instinct is so important. He has very little. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk |
