You want to see what all the experts rated for all 32 teams, guess who's #1?

Re: Post Draft Thoughts
Gave them an A bc the FO did what it needed to do true grade will be seen in two years. FWIW these post draft grades are funny to me. PFF gave the Giants "above average" while CBS gave them a D.

So we are giving credit now to dipshit Allen for doing nothing? Hasn’t he already been paid millions n millions of dollars for doing nothing? At what point does doing nothing get your ass fired? Eff Bruce Allen. |

I remember just a few weeks ago people saying, hire Louis Riddick as our GM, promote Eric Shaeffer, hire others, Kyle Smith doesn’t know shit. What do u say now?

Meet Jawad Bendaoud. He lent his flat to terrorists for a couple of nights before they committed the attacks in Paris on November 13st 2015. He made us laugh quite a lot in a moment we all needed it when he was seen on TV explaining he didn't know who they were and he was just asked for help by a friend. That gif is how he entered he press conf following his sentencing to 4 years in jail after being declared innocent during the first trial. Low time thug, big time stupid guy. Quite funny to see him here ^^ EDIT: Oh, and the draft is an A+ right now. The two Gs are a big relief and a great hope for the foreseeable future. |
Re: Post Draft Thoughts
sfredskin ive been on the sheaffer, smith bandwagon maybe the longest on this board. and read where sheaffer ran this draft

Re: Post Draft Thoughts
I'm very pleased with our draft but I had to give it a B (B+ actually) primarily because of a couple of typical Redskins gaffes in Round 4.
Round 1 - Outstanding! A+ Round 3 - McLaurin. Very good player. There was a lot of value in this pick but I hated to leave three good OG prospects on the board here - Dieter, Davis, and McGovern. B Round 4 - Typical Redskins Round 4 with a seriously injured player and a reach picked. I love what Bryce Love did in college but it was too early to take him due to the uncertainty caused by his knee injury. I also hated to leave Samia and Hooker on the board at that point. Wes Martin? I must admit his film was awesome but I wanted Foster Moreau at that point. C Round 5 - Pierschbacher was a very solid pick at this point. Holcomb could help on ST as he develops. B Round 6 - Harmon. Home run! A+ Round 7 - Moreland is a very skilled player, if small. He could also help on ST. Brailford has all of the measurables you could want in a developmental player. A |

Allen wasn't doing nothing. According to Jay, Bruce was the one making the picks. |

Bruce may have been the one turning in the picks but was he making all the decisions? Doubt that.

And I doubt Bruce has no input and is just turning in names Kyle tells him to. There's no doubt that Kyle set the team's board. But Bruce is the one making the final decisions, which appear to be following the board very closely. |
Re: Post Draft Thoughts
This has nothing to do with our draft but I'm so sick of TE scouting reports saying a player doesn't have the speed to make an impact in the passing game at the NFL level.

Re: Post Draft Thoughts
I don't understand why Snyder still employs Allen. He has some solid people over there who are well respected in Schaefer and Smith. I do think having Doug Williams is a good thing simply because he's still loved in DC. But Bruce to me is just completely useless. No one likes the guy, he's not respected and no one trusts him. He's bad PR. I just don't get it. Smith and Schaefer must shake their heads as to why they're below such a disliked snake who is incompetent. If not for his last name Allen would be kissing some managers ass at an accounting firm.

Re: Post Draft Thoughts
I give the draft an A for the 'skins. Not only did they get the players they wanted but in the case of Haskins, they waited for him to fall into their laps without wasting later draft picks to move up and get him.
The Redskins drafted for need. The biggest need was at QB. Alex smith will never play again. We have a couple of scrubs behind him as the backup. So the Redskins got the best QB in the draft for this season's immediate hole and the future franchise QB for the next decade. Sweat fell in the draft because of a misdiagnosed heart problem. The guy otherwise was a top-10 draft pick Edge rusher. We got him at 26. He will fill the hole left by Preston Smith, who really was just an average player anyway. Again, he fills an immediate need and a long-term starter. We now have a really good DL for the first time since the Gibb's years. I really like that we went with a couple of picks for WR, because it was one of the worst groups on the team. I still don't know why we let a 1,000 yd speedster like Desean Jackson go, who will now be playing against us for the Eagles. At some point, the front office will have to admit that Dougherty was a flop pick, but because our WR corps is so weak we'll have to endure another mediocre year of watching him mis-run his routes or drop the ball. The WR's are another year of draft picks or FA from being good. Best Redskins draft in years! Hail! |
Re: Post Draft Thoughts
I just heard on SiriusXM radio an interview with Bruce Allen. He talked about getting a player from their farm team down in Alabama. Lol
He also mentioned that Love was checked out by James Andrews, same guy that did Darius Guice and Adrian Peterson's knee and they were satisfied with the medical report. They also rank their draft board based on how they think the player will do over the course of their contract (in this case for years) not just the first year. |

Re: Post Draft Thoughts
Who the hell gave the Redskins a C grade, stand up and explain yourself.
Most of the press grades for this draft have the Redskins at an A or B. Some even admitted that they were surprised that Dan Snyder's influence in this draft (supposedly Haskins pick) had a positive effect. |
Re: Post Draft Thoughts
Who the hell gave the Redskins a C grade, stand up and explain yourself.
Was about to post the same... I could understand B+ if you're really cold on Haskins... But C ? That warrants an explanation. About grades though, on yesterday's podcast, Sheehan did a review of the recent Redskins' drafts' grades, and while we all felt it was the first time in a while everybody admitted we drafted really well, 3 of our 4 last drafts were given a majority of As and Bs. But the two 1st rounds, the trading a late 3rd for two 4th, the Sweat and late rounds steals, and the finally drafting 2 promising OGs make this one feel different. |
Re: Post Draft Thoughts
Haskins will have to be a wait and see but the deal for Sweat was a great move ,I thought the Skins did well in the draft.
|
Re: Post Draft Thoughts
I think Snyder keeps Allen around as a shield to take some of the aggro. Can't help thinking he may be setting things up to promote Williams or even Smith to GM and move Allen into a VP type role.
I liked everything bar the Love pick, and even then I don't hate it. If the medics are right and he's progressing nicely, he could be ready to see action later in the season and probably cover for CT going down again. Solid A from me. |

Re: Post Draft Thoughts
Bruce Allen is holding the same position on the team as Cerrato - a buddy for Dan Snyder and a conduit for Snyder to interfere on the teams business. He is also working on getting someone to shell out a cool Billion for a new stadium.
What Bruce Allen is not is a GM - I mean look at the Alex Smith deal and see what a cap disaster that is for the team. |

Dan and Bruce high fiving since the draft

I'd say he still has better capability than Sprinkle or Flanagan, as he showed when Reed was injured. Plus he always seems healthy unlike Reed. |
