I never understood why a lot of fans have a low opinion of the guy. Averaging 10 wins a year for over a dozen years is nothing to sneeze at. He also won a Super Bowl as a head coach.

The press is doing the same, which drives me nuts. Every year this team seems to get to a "low point" and everyone overreacts about it.

Until they go on a crazy losing streak and/or Brady is hurt or retired, the Pats will never be in danger of anything.

Not good, but the giants supporting cast is much better than 2 wins. They Are just tanking

Brady is setting everyone up again. Which makes it so fucking aggravating to watch him raise the trophy at the end of the year.

I generally dislike having to take up for Tom Brady, but in all honesty he is no where near as shot as Peyton was that last year. And i was a big Peyton fan too.

IMO you are seeing the result of Brady having no other weapon on offense other than Edelman. Provided Brady makes it through the rest of the season without major injury, i would have to see Brady for one more year with an upgraded offense and see how he looks then. The man has nothing really going for him other than Edelman.

I agree you can never count them out, but from an outsider's look it seems like they didn't adequately replace Gronk either. Everybody benefited from having him on the field. Edelman is their only reliable option, N'Keal might be good some day but for now he's just young.

Pats are done this time. Their offense can not put up enough points.

Cousins has only 3 ints on the year. I remember the days when everyone was a spaz and thought he was a int machine. Now he rarely throws one.

Actually, Devlin is their 3rd stringer. Frankly, he seems to manage the game better than Rudolph.

Kirk is now 0-8 on MNF... Never seen a QB as good as him suck so bad in primetime. Not that they are all his fault but u get the point.

Also the NFL needs to change the playoff seeding, the fact that the Cowboys or whoever wins the sorry ass east could host a game against a potential 13-3 Niners team is a joke. I'm actually in favor of having the division winner miss the playoffs if there is a better team missing out.

I'm fine w/ keeping the division winners but they should change the seeding to what other leagues do. No more division winners getting to host a game if they are crappy, rank all the playoff teams by record. That way your 11-5 division loser squad gets a home game over a 7-9 Eagles or Cowboys team that doesn't deserve it.

Don't think that will happen. They were talking about this on NFL radio just the other day. There was a big push for this in the last CBA and it is a recurring topic at the spring and summer meetings. The leagues case on reseeding is it takes away almost any significance of a division champion.

I know it's weird to see an 11-5 Wildcard team have to travel to play a 9-7 division winner.

But, if you want to host a playoff game at home, win your division.

Re: NFL week 13
Ben , Dobbs (traded) , Rudolph and now Duck
Dobbs was traded after Week 1, as he was likely the odd man out. Why? Because they liked Devlin better than him. The Steelers wasn't gonna carry 4 QBs, and the Steelers knew they could get something for Dobbs before they either placed him on the practice squad (where he wasn't gonna be protected and the Steelers lose him without any gain) or outright release him (still not getting anything).

Tell you what..... Guess who was inactive Week 1 for the Steelers? It wasn't Roethlisberger. It wasn't Rudolph. It wasn't Devlin, either. It was Dobbs.

Rudolph was the 2nd stringer in preseason. Dobbs and Devlin split 3rd string duties. Dobbs was the odd man out, and was the de facto 4th stringer before his trade.

Nah. Reseed. Pretty obvious nobody from the nfc east has any business hosting a playoff game. The reward for winning a weak ass division like the east is that you make the playoffs with 7-8-9 wins. That, imo, is where the rewards end.
How about you want to host a playoff game at home, win more games than the other team.

If im the Giants...its not the Ints that are bothering me, but you cant be fumbling so much you are double digits in fumbles-lost category. Pocket awareness and ball security issues, you will get blitzed even more if they you will put it on the ground. Teams are prepping for that.

Doesn't matter. Just get into 'the tournament'. At that point everyone is 0-0 and anything can happen.

2007 G-men were sitting at 6-6 going into week 14. We all know how that season ended.

Very true, but its sobering to go from winning the SB to just get into the tournament expectations. But yall have zero excuses, the division is as bad as its every been and talented team with no major injuries (LVE was playing like dog shit before injury).

I actually think a rebound could happen but its December it cant wait any longer

They wouldn't be the first to get their shit together, go on a hot streak and make/win the SB.

But it's December, you either sink or swim. Anything less than swimming and you won't make the dance.

Re: NFL week 13

Speaking of teams entering with SB aspirations ... I feel for Bears fans. Roquan Smith apparently is playing poorly, Mitch is increasingly looking like a major reach and the wild card seems impossible to get, even sitting 6-6.

SF/Sea are both 10-2 so theres 1 WC spot.
Vikings (8-4) or Rams (7-5) seem as locks for second WC spot.

Sitting at 6-6 (on 2 game win streak) is just awful at this point. Normally, youd be right in the hunt for a WC spot but with the Vikes at 8-4 and probably a 10-6 finish .. the Bears have to win out, hope the vikes go 2-2 and hope they have the tie breaker.

NFC is so top heavy.
