Re: Super Bowl week: around the NFL

I'm sticking with NFC and going 9ers, plus their record last year surely brings us all hope. That said it would be nice to see Reid win a ring. It'll be about 4am over here before I get to bed so lets just hope its a great game regardless of the result, last years was a stinker!

Re: Super Bowl week: around the NFL

KC can not let the 49's get a lead on them like they have let other teams do during the playoffs. 49's defense is their strength as for an all rounded team I will go with KC with Reid and Spaggs as DC.

KC 24

49's 17

If Mahomes plays up to potential and Chiefs D can hold htat 9ers run game in check I'm going 35-24 Chiefs.

Re: Super Bowl week: around the NFL
Thats why I'm going with the Chiefs. Mahomes is a difference maker and he showed that last 2 games and then some. Jimmy G is good, they wouldn't be in the game without him. But I don't see him as being that guy, if he was the Pats wouldn't have traded him. If it comes down to it, I go with the hot QB.
Rumor is that Belichick wanted to keep Jimmy G and Brady wanted him gone, ownership sided with Brady. The trade to the 49ers was probably Belichick wanting to help Jimmy G land in a more promising team (since the Browns were the main contender to get him that year).

AnonEmouse 02-02-2020 02:39 PM

Re: Super Bowl week: around the NFL

Yeah that rumours done the rounds ever since. I can't help think it's a bit of a smokescreen. Knowing how Belichick seems to always get his way, I can't believe he let ownership overrule him.

To me it seems more like business sense all round. Brady looked like he'd do 3-4 more PB level seasons at that point and getting some capital for Jimmy instead of losing him to FA when Brady was still going to be around just made sense.

Did anyone else just see the skit with Gronk and Vernon Davis mentioning he retired??? Is Vernon done?

Absolute shock.

I couldn't have seen that coming after being retirement age and missing 12 games with a concussion last year.

/sarcasm.

Really, I hope you aren't surprised by this.

One of the rare times I"ll ever pull for a AFC team in the SB, but fuck the 49ers.....LET'S GO CHIEFS!!!

What the hell is a fullback?

Re: Super Bowl week: around the NFL

Chiefs can't even run regular drop back passes against SF. That front is too much for KC's oline.

When you can get there with 4 rushers, it starts to look easy.

Kc looks shell shocked.

Also investing in Oline is big.

Mahomes hasn’t been sharp

Re: Super Bowl week: around the NFL

Mahomes is seeing ghosts. Rushing throws for no reason. That last interception should've been simple pitch and catch.

The impact of Nick Bosa man. Wonder who the redskins have on the roster like him.

9ers gonna be good for a while. Dominant up front on both sides of the ball.

Can't wait for Chase Young.

I kinda had to politely explain this to a couple women. It’s like they refused to believe this obvious fact and they just kept saying, J Lo is fifty.

That doesn’t matter, shakira is a natural beauty and that stomach, God, the loads i would bust that thing.

3 ex redskins on super bowl win team!! Smith with packers played great ... the more you look around the league and see ex redskins playing well the more you realize just how bad this team was coached and managed..

Breeland and Fuller would still be starters and better than Norman and Moreau. So yes they did contribute, all 3 starters for the Chiefs.
