Seems I have missed all of training camp and even though I'm in Virginia our paper has had about Zero training camp coverage. I just learned today that AP was let go so I probably don't even know 1/2 the players on our roster. With that said the skins sneak out a victory. WFT 24 Igs 13

I came to note the exact same 2 things.

I think it was Ben Standing on Sheehan's podcast who predicted Bostic and KPL starting, he hesitated between Holcomb and Davis for the 3rd one and gave Davis the nod because of his experience, I'm quite eager to see how our LB corps comes together.

I also think Sweat getting the nod over Kerrigan is worth mentioning.

Broncos’ OLB Von Miller injured a tendon in his ankle on the last play of practice today, and he is expected to need surgery that is likely to end his season, league source tells ESPN.

You can't blame these outlets for saying we will finish 3-13, the team was garbage last yr and honestly other than Chase Young, they haven't upgraded the roster much.. RR should get us 4 wins alone but how is this offense going to score 20 PPG?

I don't know if you remember the end of the season last year when the offense started clicking with Sims, Guice, McLaurin, Haskins being competitive. This team will be in the playoffs.

We have drastically improved our running game (don't care if they are young), more depth on the O-line, Haskins will be much better and that D is going to kick some serious ass!! We might take out an opposing QB a week. I love the fact that CBS sports has us ranked as the worst team at 32.

Not one proven RB on the team.
The two most consistent OLinemen are gone.
They’ve done a great job stacking the team with athletes and that’s about all I got for optimism. A spread offense should be fun to watch.

On the long run I'd say Scherff is a better asset than Flowers and Penn... but focusing on last season your statement is true.

I still don't quite understand while we haven't signed Penn back on close to vet min deal... I am not at ease with the idea of Geron Christian being our starting LT...

Secondary is garbage. Darby, Moreau and Moreland were not good at all. But they can and will hopefully improve. Not impressed w/ Collins either. Can not cover TE's and gets exposed. Another terrible contract by Bruce. Interested to see Apke tough..

Fuller was average at best in KC too so yeah this DB group looks very bad on paper... Ron made the Panthers DB's look good tho so we'll see

You're right about 2 TE sets, but that's only because they have no WRs. It's out of necessity, not strategy.

I don't know about the playoffs, we'll see, hard to say right now.

Completely agree about the last stretch of the season though, especially on Haskins.
I think his solid performance got flushed down the toilets of our memories with a drama riddled 3 - 13 season.
They're question marks and reasons to worry on this offense, but I'm curious to see how it'll turn out better coached.

Our D is legit, despite what some say about our secondary, it’s solid. The pressure Young, Sweat, Allen and Payne will help the secondary. Our O will be better than last year.

Constant camp observation by jp, Keim and Standig, the cornerback group performed much better than anticipated. Specifically, Moreland and Darby stood out. Stroman also showed growth.

Darby had a down year last year...he had been pretty good up until then.

I’d say this is the most excited I’ve been since the year we came off making the playoffs with cousins. If it wasn’t for covid I’d be returning to fed ex.

I think most fans are treating this as a true rebuild year with proven coaching talent and new front office management coming in. We have cap space and a young group on both sides of the ball with no expectations.

I’m relatively happy

So we are better than last year...there is a long way between last year and the playoffs. We could triple our win total and still not make the playoffs...as always though your optimism is second to none and I hope you are right!

Im right there. It is part covid related - will players start opting out more/ getting sick God forbid as the season winds on and make it meaningless? Couple that with our current team and tough schedule and well ....yeah....I smell freed up Sundays and a high draft pick. Of course the lead up to game one is always filled with high hopes. I will remain vested in the season to some extent...win or lose...to see if Haskins grows.
