Steven Sims was targeted 3 times and had 3 catches. Need to get him the ball more
Apke was brutal on film... As was our left side. holy shit
Apke will lose us games. He’s laughable bad in coverage, he decent tackler and run support...but you need your free safety to cover well. |
Re: Cards Pregame Thread
So Saahdiq Charles wasn’t listed on injury report? I’m assuming he is practicing?
Would like to see him out there soon...can’t be worse than Christian |
Re: Cards Pregame Thread
I like Kamren Curl, like what I saw from him in his limited snaps.

^^ twitter video of Bosa blowing by Cards LT Humphrey .. only to have Murray spin out of his grasp Chase/Sweat need to be careful and disciplined, Murray is the polar opposite of Wentz. Need to maintain contain on the edges and not get to far up field. |

Re: Cards Pregame Thread
Saahdiq Charles, who missed most of TC ... is no where close to ready for live bullets imo. Maybe like week 8 if he stays healthy.

Week 8? Where did you get that nugget? |
Week 8?
Where did you get that nugget?
Just my guess. Like SF said, no TC, has been injured with a calf injury which could linger ... and is just participating in practice now but the regular season has started so he isnt getting any 1st team reps and if youre not getting 1st team reps .. youre doing like scout team participation and not part of installing the weekly game plan. Hes well behind schedule. Theres 2 better options in front of him as well (at this moment). I want to see Lucas honestly. edit - bye week is week 8 as well. He should get some starts by seasons end. I imagine geron, Lucas and Charles will all get some starts. So we should see him in action but no need to throw a 4th rounder, who needs to learn the playbook and add strength, into the fire when we have some vets who can buy some time. edit to the edit -- I think perhaps he might get his first action as a G if Martin doesnt step up or Scherff gets hurt. |
Re: Cards Pregame Thread
Here’s what Ron just said:
Ron Rivera says Washington has a “ways to go” on offense and that it could take until 2021 until everything looks all the way there I think he’s being cautious and the O will do better as the season progresses. |
Re: Cards Pregame Thread
Hard to get a rookie up to speed during the season especially with having no camp experience. Charles could be on the shelf until 2021 unless there are a lot of injuries.

That all makes sense unless Geron becomes a weekly turnstile... then if Saahdiq is healthy, I believe they have to start working him in if they haven't already...assuming he's the next best option - which he may not be like you said. Maybe Geron and Wes will improve this week... |

Cards Pregame Thread
I cannot even make a prediction on this game. I honestly do not know how good we are or aren’t. Are the Eagles terrible? Is our offense terrible? It benefited in a big way from field position, and apparently the left side of the line was atrocious in week one. Our run game was pathetic. Sims was a non factor. Haskins was inaccurate. Than again Haskins didn’t turn it over or get his ass handed to him. McLaurin looks like he picked up right where he left off. Did Logan Thomas block well? We did score 27 points regardless of field position.
I can honestly see us scoring 3 or 30? Our defense I believe in but man Murray and Hopkins are lethal. I can see us giving up 3 or 30. So my prediction is we either win or lose 30-3. |

Re: Cards Pregame Thread
The Cardinals are going to be solid this year. Definitely going to be a good test.
And their HC is not Doug "Go for it for no Reason" Pederson. His HC performance this past Sunday was nothing short of absolutely atrocious. Beating the Eagles is always fantastic. But outside of the pass rush being legit, I don't really have any takeaways that will carry thru the season. Excited for this game. Go WFT!! |
Re: Cards Pregame Thread
We are gonna have our hands full this week...hoping we can see some improvement with the left side of the oline...LBs and Apke can be better in coverage
If Christian comes out and struggles, put Charles in please |

If Christian comes out and struggles, put Charles in please
The Niners WRs are prob worse than ours and they had success getting open.. I think this is a huge game for Haskins, Cooley was not too high on him on the podcast, and I get it but I want to see him make big strides. Last night Burrow had 300 yards and 3tds with a HORRIBLE Oline.. |
Re: Cards Pregame Thread
Cole Holcomb has been ruled out for Sunday... CB Kendall Fuller (knee) was limited today and is questionable for Sunday... LB Thomas Davis (calf) was full, but also listed as questionable.

Re: Cards Pregame Thread
I’d like to be in the Skins secondary room when they watch tape on Hopkins, Kirk, Fitz...That has to be the most talented WR group we face. Dallas has a great 3some, but these guys are better.
Cooley said the other day we should play cover 3 and keep our LB a lil deeper. Keep everything in front of you. Let the pass rush work |

Let the pass rush work
I'd say it was a toss up between Arizona and KC as to the top WR crew. When you add in Kelce you could argue that type the balance. Then the balance tips back to AZ when you consider Murray is a running threat on every single play. As said this is a real test of the D. One of the games this season where we can't afford to lean on the D to keep it close. To win the O must improve on last week, if only to keep their O off the field. |
Re: Cards Pregame Thread
If we can win this weekend there is a good chance while we are 2-0 the rest of our div could be 0-2.

We really need to have a good running game this Sunday to take the burden off from our defense and Haskins. |

And I don’t know about KC...it’s not a question of if Sammy Watkins gets injured, it’s when. Strictly WR, Arizona and Dallas have the top 3. |

I kinda like having the most generic team slogan ever: Go Team!! Better than a lot of the other options I've heard. Unless its Redwolves I'd keep WFT. |

They are in a rebuilding stage. Both teams are. Good luck to the Washington team!
