Per Schefter looks like Maskins will be starting on Sunday:

Sense out of Washington this week has been that it would be challenging for QB Alex Smith to return from his calf injury this week. And now today, Dwayne Haskins is taking the starter reps at practice, and is tracking to start Sunday vs. Panthers.

Antonio Gibson (turf toe) and Cole Holcomb (concussion) are also participating in individual drills, per team PR.

Ron Rivera said RB Antonio Gibson looked good today. Took a number of reps. Looked positive.
on Alex Smith, not sure yet when he'll know -- maybe tomorrow; maybe Sun morning. But he said he was encouraged by Smith's movements and stepping into his throws. latter had been an issue

Earlier this week, there was some -- some -- optimism regarding Smith. Hard to know right now. was all about his progression, would it be enough. know more tomorrow; clearly Haskins getting ready to start.

Rivera could possibly be playing possom, so to speak.

I think Trashkins is under center Sunday. I’d be surprised if Gibby played at well

I really don't want to see Smith until he takes all the reps and has a full week of practice. Play DH cause he simply gives us the best chance to win... unfortunately.

Almost finished watching "the tape" (quite a presumptuous word when used by a not so knowledgable fan ^^) from last week's game.

I want to highlight that I am NOT hating on Haskins, that I understand the decision not to cut him because if Alex is not healthy Dwayne gives us the best chance to win this important game, and finally that I thought he had a very good game against the Seahawks, even early on he was more accurate than I remembered, and didn't leave that much down the field.

I'm posting this gif for selfish reasons, because I know you guys may have interesting takes on this play.

I feel like he has pre-decided he's only gonna look to the left side, and thus never sees Terry getting open on the corner route. It's not a dangerous throw to make on 1st and 10, just loft it towards the corner of the endzone where only McLaurin can get it. It seems like quite an any throw, and I just thinks he never saw it, but is it more difficult than it seems because of the flat corner ?

They scored on the next play (throw to McKissick), so no big deal, but I feel like it's a situation you'd like him to be able to see, and a throw he should be able to make.

Sorry but I think Alex at 75% is better than Haskins.

I think Thomas is more wide open If he just throws it before Logan comes out of break at the goal post. That’s in the middle of the football td

I’m betting he plays at least some, even if it’s as a decoy. Hopefully he’s resting during the week so he can play on Sunday. 🤞

If he's listed at doubtful, then he's likely not playing. That'll suck!

The way I see it Thomas only gets open when the linebacker comes down towards Sims, right when the ball is thrown.

Going off topic here, but I loved the red on red and hope they bring it back eventually (feel like they won't right now because the took the L). But I like it better than the white on white, which every team does.

I'd rather have B on Gold to be honest but my favorite has always been White on Burgundy

YES!! My boy is back!!

Washington Football has cut WR Dontrelle Inman and brought up rookie WR Antonio Gandy-Golden from the IR. Additionally Washington called QB Steven Montez up from the practice squad

Come on AGG, time to shine.

I was so excited on draft day about AGG and the kid has shown nothing,I thought he was going to be a major bright spot for us, it sure would be nice if he would do something tomorrow since it looks like McLaurin is not going to be playing

He's been hurt, hopefully he's healthy and ready to produce, just about the right time of the season.

Doesn’t look too good for Alex to play tomorrow per NBC

I have a feeling Alex, Terry and Antonio will not play tomorrow. If we win and clinch, rest them against Philly too.

Alex game time decision (I personnaly don't think he'll play)

Yesterday I watched the Panthers against the Broncos from 2 weeks ago. They lost 27 - 32, but despite the score I was more impressed by their D than their O. They got some big chunk plays late, but early on they couldn't move the ball on a very average defense.
That Panthers Dline is legit, but if our Oline keeps up the good work I say we can take them.

Holcomb being back is huge IMO.

Re: Riverboat Ron's Revenge - Panthers Week Thread

Gibson being available is arguably more important than Scary, we need to grind out the clock. I can see Gibson, McKissick and Thomas getting most of the passing yards, but the ground game has got to get going early.
