It’s never about football with this team
Matty, can you ban me? Take away this site and I might be able to trick myself into adopting the Panthers as my favorite team. And they aren't very good now so it wouldn't be like I was jumping to the Chiefs. |

Solid choice. I have to fly down to Miami to support the team. Sorry babe, it's for the team. |
Re: Happy Birthday Sean Taylor
Wright is just taking bullets for Dan and Tanya. He seems like a solid dude but is swimming w/ sharks.
I really don't care about the emails. Not sure why everyone is making a huge deal out of it. It is exhausting. Sports talk radio has turned into TMZ. |
Re: Happy Birthday Sean Taylor
Here's a question (in 2 parts) I haven't seen asked.
1) had he not died, do you think ST would still be playing now, and for us? 2) would it have possibly changed our fortunes over the last decade or so? I'd like to think yes to both, an Ed Reed type career. |

Re: Happy Birthday Sean Taylor
I wonder what other long-planned but undisclosed feel good events are out there waiting to be hastily thrown together when the next non-football crisis hits. Celebration of Joe (Gibbs and Thiesman)? Re-enacting the Fun Bunch? Santana Moss Day? Pitch-a-tent With Riggo?
When I tell people my favorite team, the expression is a mix of pity, revulsion, and morbid curiosity. My response invariably is, “Well, I grew up there.” Sigh. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Ron culture change is working right? The guy he hired is involved in a DEA investigation.
This mishap with the Sean Taylor…it par for the course. Nothing has changed folks. Nothing
The Ron culture change was nothing more than a half hearted attempt to take away from the fact that we still suck on the field. “I like the culture RR brings, things are going to be different going forward. With good culture comes good teams and winning. Now we have the right guy. “ Uh huh. First of all what makes RR the patron saint of culture, and even if he was what makes anyone think he can defeat the stink that is Dan Snyder? It was all just more smoke and mirrors. And we all fell for it like we have in the past and like we will going forward with the next regime. As long as that rotten stench of a human is running the show the team will have the same rotten stench. On and off the field. |

Ya boy was the closest thing we've had to a homegrown legend since DS came to town and they did him absolutely dirty to distract from a bad headline. Wright seems a solid character but even he takes the L on this one. It gets harder and harder to believe that things have changed when they make moves like this. |

I will never buy another piece of merch. I will never attend another game. I will never watch another game. If Snyder is ever gone I will become engaged again. He has officially ruined football for me. |

He will eventually be gone, probably sooner than later. He is in a no win situation. At least he says something although it is via Twitter. I watched the Taylor thing on You Tube, It was done very poorly cause it was mixed in w/ the old fossils that they keep trotting out there on alumni day. Yesterday should have been all about Taylor and nothing else. |
Re: Happy Birthday Sean Taylor
I didn't even bother watching any of the ST stuff, because I knew it would be half assed and would only piss me off. Fuck this franchise man.
Julie Donaldson gave a good interview on the Reese waters show.
- this has been planned for a while, Taylor family knew and made plans - they asked the family if they wanted to postpone and the family said no - halftime ceremony and will be streamed - they all feel horrible about how this was handled I trust jason wright and Julie Donaldson
I think it's obvious now that yes something was planned weeks ago, but it did not involve the retiring of his number. The number being retired was tacked on last minute. I really feel bad for the likes of Donaldson and Wright who were left to pick up the pieces and take the bullets for the Snyders. |

Probably the last great homegrown defensive player we took. I know they don't crown first-team All Pro's for half a season, but that half a season with him and Landry in 2007 was as good as I've ever seen our secondary do. He had a similar speed to Ed Reed and the strength of Ray Lewis. He deserved better. |
