One think I didn't really noticed at first is Wes Schweitzer being the starting LG over Flowers... I'm quite surprised, Schweitzer was a nice surprise last year, but I thought Flowers was going to get the job. We'll see, but early surprise for me.

One thing I haven’t heard a lot about is the move of Curl as a free safety…it’s a big.

That’s something to watch, can Curl make that transition? We got alot of depth there as well.

Speaking of secondary I’ve heard BSJ, Full, Will Jax all playing decent…but alot of question marks after that.

I think our secondary is going to be much improved. Still think Moreland is a baller. If Collins can just be decent secondary will not be a problem. Everett, McCain, Reaves, Forest- alot of depth there. Apke being gone is an improvement in itself. Sorry i know he is your guy and wtf are you gonna do with all the Apke merch you have. Im sure you can fix the tattoo though.

Agreed. I wasn't sure if Curl has enough speed to cover the field as FS but obviously the coaches believe he has it so this would be great if it works out. McCain and Curl playing together in some packages will make it difficult for QBs to figure out which player plays as FS in some plays.

Moreland is good depth.

McCain has played slot corner in the past and played it well. Everett is an underrated player. I thought Reaves showed a ton a potential and overall solid play.

I’d say if a boundary corner went down..,I’d get a little nervous

With this D and personnel they have been targeting .. I dont think we have or want a traditional side to side line FS. All these players are moveable parts and I imagine everyone (Collins, Curl, McCain, Everett) will get snaps in all the different sub packages we will run.

Id guess Fuller or everett will be the guy if we go single high safety. I dont know enough about McCains game to know if he could be single high.

reaves - i dont think he is an nfl caliber player.

I am looking forward to seeing Curl there. I hope that front 7 helps out the CBs big time this year.

Will be interesting to see what Belicheck does at qb this year. Newton and Jones should both be motivated.

If Jones lights up our second string will there be questions about whether we should have traded up for him?

His pass protection at Bama was elite. He will face a lot more heat in the NFL. Thursday night should be a good time to introduce him to an NFL pass rush. :)

If Collins is back to being his old self, having him and Curl on the field at the same time as our base D is quite cool.
I like our secondary, lots of options and depth. WJ3 being healthy is key though.

Hopefully cause a lot of turnovers also. Reports on Collins have been good so far. Hope it translates to a great 2021.

6 hours til hour first string offense has shown us something.

Given that preseason means close to nothing what would you type of individual performances are you looking for. Mine are these:
No ints by Fitz or Heinecke. The NE backs are ball hawks so while nothing will be scripted I like to see good judgement by the qbs

Fitz and McLaurin show some part of the connection they seem to have in camp

The only player on Defense I would love to see light things up is Jarmin Davis. If he shows some form of calling the D that will be awesome.
