Young punk arrogant coach and shitty decisions. |
Re: Week 18
The Spanos family has to fire Staley. He basically is the sole reason they lost. Why did he call a timeout? The clock would have run out. He is so stupid. Who goes for it in the middle of the game inside their own 20. He is the worst coach I think I have ever seen.

Huge props to Carr! He deserves this.

Re: Week 18
My second team has always been Raiders .. and I really like Carr , I wish we could get him !! I hope raiders take it to the big show .. and they keep the head coach ,he deserves it !!

Re: Week 18
Bisaccia used to be on our staff. He always seemed like a good guy, and keeping that team on task with what they were dealing with has to be one of the better coaching jobs I can recall. Good for him.

This seems to highlight the issue with NFL coaching selections. It seems too often image and media perception can matter more than results, or at least reasonable results. He deserves a chance to retain the role based on performance (though of course there's the question of his strategy going forward), but it's very likely he'll be gone as they pursue Harbaugh etc. Similar applies to Culley at the Texans; he's had to cope with a ridiculous situation with Watson et al, and he's still produced a relatively competitive team and there are a lot of good things being said about Mills. Yet his role is already under scrutiny after just one season. Yet, I can't see any similar critique of Saleh despite the same record AND a #2 pick at QB. Who'd want to be an NFL head coach? (OK the potential fame and $M are attractive...) |
Re: Week 18
Yeah the Raiders had the craziest of seasons and 95% put them away after the Gruden fiasco..
Huge props to that staff and their players. They won 10 games with that roster.. Look at their WR's , other than Renfro I bet the casual fan can't name another |
Re: Week 18
As long as the Cowboys get knocked out is all i care about this years playoffs, I could not even stomach them making it to the super Bowl and just listening to the hype train.

I wish Mike McCarthy coached for a different contender. I love the narrative that he could fall ass backwards into being the head coach of two super bowl champions despite being universally recognized as inept in our time period. |

Staley is a bum |
Re: Week 18
At the beginning of the season I thought the Chargers were going to be one of the best AFC teams, and they didn't even make the playoffs. With their talent, you would have to point the finger at the coach.

Stanley is an analytics queen who will wake up this morning and tell you going for it on his 18 is still the right call 2 minutes into the third quarter |

Pretty amazing Ben back in playoffs. I’m not a Steelers fan at all, but glad he got in over the effing trash Ravens

I watched that game. After they won you can tell he is done. He would have been completely fine if Chargers and Raiders had tied so he wouldn't have to play next week. |
Re: Week 18
Oh man, are the Giants going to keep their clown coach? Please do. LOL.
@JayGlazer I believe Giants brass is torn on what to do w Joe Judge bc of revolving door of coaches they’ve had in recent years. Have hesitation to move on bc they’d add to that revolving door. At same time I have heard a ton of frustration inside that locker room. Not a little, a lot |

Re: Week 18
Really surprising about Flores. I feel there is something going on w/ the assistant coaches that out of New England. Flores won 8 of of 9 games to finish 9-8 and he's gone? Has to be something going on where he must be rubbing people the wrong way.
Judge has to go after yesterday, running QB sneaks on 2nd and 3rd downs. That was a give up wave the white flag shit. No way can you bring that type of fuckery back to your team. Staley should be gone as well. He cost his team two games that I know of by constantly going for it on 4th down. Chargers should be in the playoffs. They're home cause of him. |

Going for it on the 20 was a bad call but I can see his reasoning in calling the timeout,I’ll give him a pass on that call.I thought this article explained it pretty good https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/33032641/raiders-win-make-nfl-playoffs-did-chargers-blow-teams-played-tie-wild-ending-explained |

He just kept going for it when he had 3 points and they lost the game cause of his analytics BS. No way am I keeping that guy going forward. He would be done. |
