A-town, Casa Mia's is interesting especially on a Wednesday or Thursday afternoon but at night it is a typical suburban clientele. One of the co-owners of casa Mia's is a Loyola University soccer coach
My son played for HLC LAX and during practice I go there for a drink or two. Casa Mia the only bar I knew in Parkton, went up the road once to the VFW; cheap beer but nothing to look at.

Go to Big Truck next time you are over this way. That is my go to and close to VFW. A-town is closer to Hampstead
Hope you don’t see this SS but f-yea. Went to my redneck bar every fucking tv and speaker on game. All the farm hands had the place rocking
Hell yeah i was pumped.

I saw the score though before watching ... on yahoo homepage on my phone scrolled down and boom right there, couldnt un see it.

My kid watched with me .. 3 mins in she said football is better, I asked why and she said because they hit each other and theres more action.

I teared up a bit on the inside.

Group C is tight.

That would be a good time to be in front of 2 tvs at 2 pm. Poland v Argentina; SA v Mexico

Poland 4 pts (+2 gd)
Argentina 3 pts (+1)
SA 3 pts (-1)
El Tri 1 pt (-2)

Re: World Cup Qatar 2022

I have a Polska jersey but pulling for Argentina. I want the old man to get his.

Argentina up 2 goals
Mexico up 2 goals

If Poland and Mexico both end up w 4 points, 0 gd .. and they tied when they played ....

what the fuck happens?

what is the tie breaker .. or is my math wrong?

edit -- answer total number of goals scored is the 3rd tie breaker

edit the edit -- they would have the same # of goals w 2 each

Re: World Cup Qatar 2022

Goals allowed, goals for, which they are also tied then to fewest yellow cards which Poland has tie breaker

Thanks for saving me the 5 mins to add those up

I learned today .. if even after the yellow/red card thing ... the just literally draw straws to see who advances.

And it doesnt matter SA scored ...

SA got 6 yellow cards today? that cant be right

Draw straws? That is crazy talk. Szczesny was great in goal

Re: World Cup Qatar 2022

Holy shit these group E games this afternoon were crazy. It started with Spain and Japan advancing, then Spain and Germany, then Japan and Germany then Japan and Costa Rica and finished with Japan and Spain advancing.

sdskinsfan2001 12-01-2022 07:43 PM

Re: World Cup Qatar 2022

I would have preferred Spain and Costa Rica advancing. Spain and Japan was next best.

Germany:

I thought so to but apparently even if the part of the ball that is touching the ground is out .. if the curvature of the ball is still a hair over the line, ball is still in play.

My guess .. call on field stands if inconclusive but damn.

They just beat the shit out of us. That was an embarrassment. This team has no scorers. We should have been up 1-0 less than 5 minutes into the game, but our best player doesn't even get close to scoring.

Now soccer goes back to sucking for at least 4 more years.

Chico23231 12-03-2022 01:11 PM

Re: World Cup Qatar 2022

That was a legitimate ass kicking.

Sleep it off SS and Bmore, real sports are on tv with college football now and NFL tomorrow

Man I even renamed my Dutch oven a freedom roaster. Oh well. I’ll stick to nfl and nhl Chico I’d rather dig my eye out with a dull spoon than watch college football. Bad product and the games are like 4 and half hours lon.

Look at me, talking about soccer to myself.

Just watched the whole 2nd half of England vs. France.

Kane missed his second penalty kick. Tough way to lose.

Those quarterfinals games were fantastic. I had a minor surgery on Thursday so got to stay home on Friday and watch the games wow. I'd have to say my preferred teams right now are:
1. Morocco
2. Argentina
3. Croatia
France can go suck donkey balls

I wanted France to beat England. I'll never forget taxation without representation lol. But I agree, I'd prefer any of the other 3 teams over France.

I'm pulling for Croatia, solely because after they won their last match I looked up Croatia on Wikipedia/Google Images. They have some pretty sweet looking beach towns.

Argentina and Morocco probably do too, I just haven't looked them up yet.

I'd go:

1. Croatia
2. Morocco
3. Argentina
4. France

I was pulling for the 51st state to win over France. Croatia is an amazing story. Only 4 million people and taking down goliaths.

Pretty crazy.

We have 27 states with more people . And Oklahoma is basically 4 million.
