Re: Commandos Pre-Season Game 1 Thread
Wow our 3rd QB from telegraphs all his throws

Re: Commandos Pre-Season Game 1 Thread
Curtis Hodges loses battle for reception at the goal line, not sure if he was the same TE in the 2nd quarter who lost a reception to a tear out for a TD that was called back. If so, Hodges sux at holding on to catches. How a te can be out powered on a catch by a db is beyond me

Re: Commandos Pre-Season Game 1 Thread
Eifler takes a mean head shot

Re: Commandos Pre-Season Game 1 Thread
Kasmir Allen had a nice punt return, but called back

Re: Commandos Pre-Season Game 1 Thread

Re: Commandos Pre-Season Game 1 Thread
Cosmic isn't RT anymore because we hired wiley with the assumption he was much better and that cosmi would be better inside. Not sure about either
Well we will go up against a much better Right Tackle against Baltimore this week: meet Morgan Moses https://www.pff.com/nfl/players/morgan-moses/8701 Another Ron fuck up on the Oline. Should have never played let Moses go. Ron moves along the Oline have been utter failures |
Re: Commandos Pre-Season Game 1 Thread
Just watched highlights. O line is fucking garbage. Trash af

Re: Commandos Pre-Season Game 1 Thread
Gonna be another long season folks. Buckle up.

Re: Commandos Pre-Season Game 1 Thread
Good:
1.goal linish stand by defense 2. Howell 3 J dot 4. Chris Rodriguez 5. Secondary Trash: 1. New right tackle 2. Starting oline 3. Starting defense got shredded on the ground |
Re: Commandos Pre-Season Game 1 Thread
We'll see how Wylie plays against the Ravens, but if he has another bad game; Cosmi or Lucus should start at RT week 1.

Re: Commandos Pre-Season Game 1 Thread
People are panicking over the OL and DL, first game, new starters on OL need to gel, they'll be fine. On paper they are better than last year, it will take a few games and Howell's play will help them. Loved Chris Rodriguez and our secondary is deep and very good.

People worrying about the OL have valid concerns, not a single person on the OL strikes fear in any defense, and Sam Howell is going into his first season as a starter with only one game played, no guarantee he just comes in and his play trancends the OL to a level beyond what they are currently capable of Now It's the first pre season game so I can give a slight pass to some stuff, but I am not confident in the OL at all |
Re: Commandos Pre-Season Game 1 Thread
It's pre season, just can't put any stock into these games. We all know the o-line is going to be a issue but I think EB won't be as much of a knucklehead as Turner was. I don't think he even calls the play where they got a safety on us. I think we're going to see a lot of plays where Sam gets the ball out a lot faster. Actually we already saw it when they got their pressures. Also it was nice to see a designed rollout.
Defense got pushed around a little bit but it looked like Chase got a real nice pressure. We really need him this year. We'll see more of a test this week. |
Re: Commandos Pre-Season Game 1 Thread
Solid game by the whole team , Howell is really good at moving in the pocket. The OL looks like shit though and that’s a big concern

Re: Commandos Pre-Season Game 1 Thread
Howell is going to be good. He was not a 5th rounder. Teams just missed 4+ times. Rivera might only be here for 1 more season. But their group did draft a lot of good players. Every team misses.

Re: Commandos Pre-Season Game 1 Thread
I’ll give this to Snyder he absolutely instilled pessimism into the fan base .. I’ve never read so much negativity after one damn pre season game… I correctly predicted that once Snyder was gone that The negative vibe would continue with this team .. misery must really love company !! I for one refuse to continue down this path of the sky is falling .. 99% of you said IF Snyder was out how much better things would be .. I don’t see any damn difference according to some of these post .. it’s gonna be a long season, Ron needs to Go, Some even bashing EB .. same ole crap .. there are a few of us who actually are looking at things in a positive way .. here is my take .. let’s let the damn regular season get going and 5-6 games in we will know a lot more of what we really have … You guys gotta have some faith and positivity.. Snyder is gone ..

Now It's the first pre season game so I can give a slight pass to some stuff, but I am not confident in the OL at all
The OL is all new this season and they need to gel. We just need them to be functional and be better than last year's line, and that should not be that difficult. Only elite lines are going to "scare" we don't have an elite o-line player, and most team do not. We also need an OC that understands the limitations of the o-line, and I know Scott Turner didn't do that last year. Also, I find it interesting that everyone is giving the DL a pass. They are supposed to be the best unit in our team. I'm not going to panic, but it is disappointing to see them having a slow start. |
Re: Commandos Pre-Season Game 1 Thread
I thought Howell showed promise. He looked way better than I expected.

But: - -Oline is indeed concerning to some extent IMO, they only began to look decent when Cleveland took their 1s off the field... -And yeah our starters on defense didn't look good either, especially, oh how surprising...*thunder rolls* the middle of our defense ! (I feel like there's a specific name for that specific squad, but can't find it right now). -No pressure early was also disappointing. I only watched the 1st half so far, so I'll be looking for some more positives on young players in the 2nd half, but: + -I thought Sam Howell looked good, he had a couple of off throws, but he looked calm, and had a nice ball dropped by Bates early on -Byron Pringle made a really nice catch late in the 2nd quarter -Kamren Curl is playing physical already, he's gonna have a good seasons |
