Re: Bills Pre-Game Thread
Does the team have the ability to only sell tickets to people that live within certain zip codes? I'm talking about straight from the team to the purchaser.

A long time ago i think it WAS like this - but there are just way too many 3rd party mark up vendors these days to accomplish that as a franchise - i think |

Ted Leonsis did this in early 2000s wrote a software program to eliminate zip codes around Pittsburgh for ticket sales. In 2018 during the Cup run tickets sold pre sale i.e to season ticket holders were not allowed to be resold. I think that would be feasible only with season ticket holders that enter into a contract with the franchise. The ticket resale business has become too big of a business for NFL to lose as a sponsor now IMO. In the Bundesliga visiting teams are given a set amount of tickets to sell through their market and they are all in one area not dispersed through the stadium. I don't know how they prevent fans from being scattered through out the stadium via resales maybe our European fans here can explain this. I think it is similar in Premier league |

Not if, we will win. I got that 1981-82 season feeling, the beginning of something BIG. Jump on the bandwagon. Sam is the missing link we've needed. |

Well the Hogs which made all those quarterbacks great is definitely a missing piece too. And a HOF HC. And the greatest GM ever. Oh and a great Kicker, and LB’s. BUT at least Snyder isn’t the one responsible for getting us all that. So there is a chance. |

There has been about seven passes Howell has thrown the first two weeks that have been FLAT OUT dimes. |

I bought tickets to the AZ game after it was announced as sold out - aftermarket tickets through Vivid Seats or whatever. There were empty seats, but not everyone is in their seats all the time - and the atmosphere definitely felt like a sold out atmosphere. For the Bills game, I would bet that there are going to be more Bills fans than there were Cardinals fans at the opener. Lots of Bills fans likely purchased tickets months ago, while Skins fans started to get with it more recently. I'm hoping for 80/20ish, but we'll see. |
Re: Bills Pre-Game Thread
While I do think some of the optimism is a tad bit over the roof...
I also think we can win this game. Just watched the Bills @ Raiders, and, weird to say after a 38 to 10 win in which they shut out their opponent for the whole 2nd half... but I wasn't overly impressed. Mainly, and this could be key, I thought there were ways to get to Josh Allen (who obviously can always go Josh Allen on you), so if our Dline can bring their A game, and... EB can design things to help our Oline against their toughest opposition so far, we got a more than legit shot at this. I don't know what the Raiders' Oline is worth, but I didn't see the domination I thought I would see from the Bills' Dline. I don't think the Bills are in juggernaut mode yet, so let's get this W ! |

They kept the Raiders run game in check and their doubling on Adams (and knocking him out the game) effectively shutdown their passing. We probably lean on the screen game again, though stretching the field against their secondary will be a good idea too. For D we need to shut their run game down and force Allen to pass (and not run himself). He could have another game like he ha s against the Jets if that happens. And 🤞 special teams are on their game; no more bad snaps as this could easily come down to a FG. |

You are correct, their LB’s is their D strength, on O QB, WR, TE. Cook is their best RB, he likes the edges, if our D contains the edge they’ll be dependent on their pass game. I’m not worried about their CB’s and Safeties. Howell has done an awesome job of spreading the ball in 2 weeks using 10 different receivers, so he can have his option of receivers. Allen has also used 10 different receivers, putting constant pressure on Allen and forcing mistakes are key. I’m bummed my boy Tim Settle will face us, love that guy. |

It is so refreshing to see offensive weapons used correctly. Not that I didn’t love Curtis Samuel going up the gut on third and short. [emoji849] |
Bills Pre-Game Thread
Just heard that we haven’t allowed an opposing quarterback to reach 275 yards since week four of last year. That’s awesome. I wonder how many teams haven’t allowed a 300 yard passer in that timeframe let alone 275?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I knew that sounded crazy. Was too lazy to look it up. Heard it on sirius. Sure that is what he said. Edit: Not that crazy. Now i looked back and before that was week 3 last year. Hurts threw for 340. Other than that teams have really struggled to throw for even 200. He (as well as myself) must have very short term memory loss. Lol. |
Re: Bills Pre-Game Thread
BTW, apparently the weather at game time will be bad. That may favor us if it limits what Allen can do through the air.

That would be a huge benefit. Our backs are better. Our d line is better. If it becomes a grind it out game we can win. BR will stick their dicks in the dirt. |
Re: Bills Pre-Game Thread
I'll be pleasantly surprised if we win this game. I do think it's possible, but it will take all three phases playing well for the entire game. Can't afford a slow start, dumb penalties, or turnovers. On the other hand, if we can force Buffalo into a slow start, catch some breaks, and/or turn them over a few times, we have a decent chance.
Unfortunately, I think the more likely outcome is we get a little bit of a reality check this weekend. But if that happens we're still 2-1, it's not the end of the world. And the only team in the Division I'm not sure we match up well against just yet is that one in Texas, and we don't play them until the end of November. |

The point is that our defense doesn't surrender a lot of passing yards and it is well enough documented to be a characteristic.

"In their victory over the Broncos, the Commanders racked up an incredible 37 QB pressures, 14 QB hits and seven sacks of Russell Wilson according to Pro Football Focus, most of that damage by their starting front four. Chase Young, who sat out Week 1, had seven pressures as did fellow edge rusher Montez Sweat. Jonathan Allen had six and fellow DT Daron Payne had five. This is probably the best D-line the Bills will face all year." - Democrat & Chronicle The craziest thing to me about that snippet is that the Broncos were playing with the lead for most of the game. Imagine what this D could do if we're playing with the lead for most of the game. |
