He was just awful tonight. You could see how pissed off Adams was.

They might as well trade him. No point of having an elite WR with a complete fucking bum QB. They'll never get Adams full value as long as that bum is throwing the passes.

From that...
However, according to Over the Cap, the Seahawks currently have $7,680,332 of cap space left, meaning the Giants agreed to absorb some of Williams' remaining $9.529 million base salary still owed.According to SI.com's NFL insider Albert Breer, Seattle will only be responsible for the prorated veteran minimum of Wiliams' base salary, with the Giants converting the rest to a signing bonus and picking that up pre-trade.
When is their bye week? Think that could be key. Late bye helping Ron and Jack immensely.

Jimmy G is terrible. Carr was a better QB.

WOW
The first pass is just a terrible play by Jimmy G, but the second pass is just poor playcalling by McD. His QB is in the endzone, against a crazy good DL. That pass is overthrown because Jimmy G was about to get sacked.

Nobody has Rons superpower of being able to absolutely suck at your job and stay employed for all of eternity. Nobody.

I know he just got fired, but Josh McDaniels had way too many chances

Or Norv Turner back in the day

Totally on the owner, Mark Davis. Firing someone after less than 2 years of a 6 year contract is never great, but at least when it is a college coach or NFL coordinator you can claim that they weren't as good as you thought they were, but McDaniels has a well documented history as a coach so it begs the question "what did you expect to happen when you hired him"

The one thing about McD is that he no longer has the Belichick/Brady combo that for some reason made people forget how terrible he was as a HC in Denver.

Hopefully he never gets another chance, because he has now driven two franchises into the ground.

I'm thinking he would look good in Dallas once McCarthy flames out in the playoffs again. Give him 1 more shot.

I want Taylor Heinicke to start a playoff game. That would be hilarious.

He is the absolute ideal back-up QB. And that's pretty damn impressive and comes with a nice salary. But yeah, you don't want him starting a full-season. Falcons will be in the QB market this off-season.

It's really bizarre. Ron has been a HC for 13 seasons, and only three times in 13 seasons has he ever had double digit wins. One Super bowl appearance that he lost.

Ron Rivera has a career record of 101 - 95. He is talked about as some master HC, a football genius. Supposedly this world class talent evaluator and team builder. None of any of that has ever been displayed here. Allegedly a high character guy (None of us know him so we can't say with 100% certainty). It seems like to me, save for the one super bowl appearance, which may be enough for some people, he has done jack shit across two franchises.

He is probably going to be fired here, but the big question is, will he get another turn as a HC? You really have to wonder, with him lasting this long in the NFL...

Serious question - do you think he will get another offer?

I'm putting 90% odds that he doesn't. 3 winning seasons in 13 years is terrible.

But all it takes is one owner - that's how guys like Jim Zorn/Urban Meyer get hired despite being terrible. I wouldn't put it past Mark Davis or Mike Bidwill getting enamored with the respectability aspect of it - Ron is a respected man no doubt, just a terrible coach.

I honestly think he does get one. I still think there will be a sizeable mentality among NFL owners that will somehow absolve Ron of being a shit coach because he had to work for Dan Snyder.

Re: Around the NFL Week 8

Rivera went 15-1 one year. So Carolina had a crazy good year that inflates the rest. Take away that year and his worst year, and I'm curious what his overall record would be.

I'm still dumbfounded by how this guy landed another HC shot after that fiasco in Denver and with Indy. That should have ended any future chances of a HC shot in the NFL. Dude simply doesn't have the leadership nor personality to lead a bunch of grown men to championship level. I imagine the fact that the GM gave that man an 6 year deal and extended Carr for 3 years sealed his fate as well.

His own agent fired him after he got, then withdrew from the HC position at Indy back in 2018. Just think of his moves too. Dude got rid of Jay Cutler for Tim Tebow. Dude got rid Derek Carr for Jimmy Garoppolo. I mean, why are people letting this man have ANY decisions in personnel?

I put McDaniels on Greg Schiano's level in terms of hated by players.
