Meanwhile has MacDonald hired an OC or DC in Seattle?
Only Chip Kelly speculation for OC and crickets on DC, far as I can tell. DQ’s got the jump on him for sure, one of the big advantages of going with a well-known, well-connected guy Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Be interesting to see who on the current staff they keep in house. I'd like to at least see Kerrigan kept on staff.

I read that the DL coach, Zgno????? or whatever his name is, is a friend of DQ so maybe he stays which may also mean Kerrigan stays. But I wonder weather DL is an area that needs a fresh start coaching wise, along with LB and DB. Did Rons nephew get fired? I would hope the RB coach gets retained, obviously QB has already, other than that this team needs a fresh start after last year |

Meanwhile has MacDonald hired an OC or DC in Seattle?
during the HC search the positive buzz of a DQ hire was that he be able to build a good staff quick we are certainly seeing that |

I like the destruction of the Cowboys staff. |
Re: Welcome Joe Whitt Jr. (DC)
Whitt sounds impressive but there is only so much you can do when you got the talent we have. He has a lot of work to do.
I’m exciting to have Whitt. I think Forbes could have a breakout season with real coaching.
You want to see something from your 1st rounder. Forbes showed zero. Nothing. Could not cover, could not make any plays on the ball and could not tackle. Forbes = nothingburger. |
Re: Welcome Joe Whitt Jr. (DC)
Forbes didn't know whether he was coming or going last year. One week he's benched, the next week he's one-on-one with AJ Brown. He was obviously a highly regarded player coming out of College, a consensus mid-1st to early 2nd round draft projection. I'll give him an offseason with a competent coaching staff before I write him off.

Whitt is giving a radio interview to the morning show on 100.3 fm this morning (Thursday Feb 22) around 715-7:20am. looking forward to that one

Sent from my SM-G781U using Tapatalk
I'm going to apply the Rich Tandler corollary to this situation: don't listen to what they say, watch what they do. Whitt is just getting started and evaluating the team. I think you will start to get a better sense of the defense by what they do in free agency. For now, everything is just talk. |

Agreed. Way too early to give up on him. Also hoping he can milk whatever talent is left in Jamin Davis. And solve that whole MLB situation that has existed since Fletcher retired. |
