how amazing was this week's episode. Sayid is so ****ing badass. That was one of the better episodes. what were the symbols when the clock hit 0? When the US army dropped sayid off they asked him in the truck if he had a wife or kids and the one guy looked at a picture of his daughter...was that kate? looked just like her. Also sawyer is a jackass again and that is the way he should be.

There is another break next week. They said on an upcoming episode and not next week. Lost needs to announce these bull shit breaks better. I don't know how long this one will be

yeah it was kate's dad (remember, he's military from the flashback to his recruiting office). the symbols didn't seem to be more than chicken scratch, but i'm sure the fan sites are all over them.

I liked seeing the pastor from carnival do the cameo role of army guy ;). The cgi of the iraqi city/base thing looked terrible though, as did the greenscreen on the sayid drop off scene.

I missed that about Kate's dad - I was watching on my iPod and was a bit distracted. They do that a lot though. I cracked up at Sawyer's "Barbar" joke!

Yeah, the Kate's dad thing was cool...From the USA Today blog, the symbols are hieroglyphics that mean "causes death"...

Do you think "Henry Gale" is an "Other"? Too many Wizard of Oz references...and the Babar joke was good. But you saw how desperate Sawyer can get as well...

The show will be new in 2 weeks...as they are showing the Pilot next week. They are gearing up for May sweeps. Plus, there are like 8 episodes left in the season, so you figure 3 or 4 will be new in May, so March and April will get around 4 or 5...so look forward to a few breaks...

plus he seemed to be smiling at Sayid after Jack had pulled him off of him. I didn't catch the Kate thing plus her dad looks a whole lot different in the flashback about her running from the law and meeting him at his recruiting office.

I thought he was an Other when he cracked a joke with Sayid while under threat of torture. That made no sense to me at all.

I'm more and more facinated with how "Henry" got there and what his role is among the Others.

Hurley beating on Sawyer was cool, but the rest of his story wasn't that great. And Libby being a patient at the psych ward is interesting...beginning to wonder if she's a stalker.

the libby thing was foreshadowed WAY back "hey don't i know you" etc...

This weeks episode was complete crap (total filler). You already knew hurley had mental issues, you already knew he was fat, and that's all you got this week. The imagenary friend conveniently appeared for the first and last time on a single show, so if you missed this one, it absolutely will not matter, cause nothing new happened in any way. (before people thought libby may have been a patient OR a psychiatrist, but i'm sure that will be expanded upon if it ever becomes important or when they get to her backstory).

Waste of time this week.

I agree, I don't think it was the best episode but you have to admit when Hurley took down Sawyer that was awesome....and classic Sawyer with his names....Moonbeam for Libby and Deep Dish for Hurley. "I think timmy fell down a well over that way," when he was talking to Kate.

of course I forgot to set the DVR, so only caught the 2nd half...but certainly unexpected. the michael turn, not them killing off Libby & Ana Lucia. Although I don't know that Libby is actually dead.

and from what i hear, i missed the Sawyer/Ana hookup...which led to his "She's not on my radar screen" comment when Jack, Locke and Kate were trying to get the guns from him.

homicide: Life on the street did the same thing. If someone was a pain in the @$$ or didn't like living in the local area (baltimore, but Hawaii for lost obviously) cause they had partners that couldn't find work outside LA etc, then they just tossed them. Homicide had an easy way to bring in new characters though, lost has a bit of a limited pool to draw from.

they've also really marginalized a lot of characters in the 2nd season. In season one, even when it wasn't "someone's turn" for their story, you still saw everyone. kate's been a face in the crowd with nothing to add for almost the entire season, and charlie/chick with baby/korean chick didn't even get a single frame to say hi... I wonder if that's been an intentional change (they're working on movies or some such?) or just an oversight.

I've only watched a few episodes, and I enjoy them, but since it hasn't been mentioned in this thread, you can watch all the episodes free on abc.com. There are only four 30 second commercials you have to sit through and the picture is great. I took a break form studying tonight and watched yesterday's episode.

By the way, anyone else notice that the guy who bumped into Ana's car door outside the bar in Sydney was Sawyer? Interesting.

Yea this week was good. I like how next weeks trailer says "all your questions will be answered" yea right. This show reminds me of the x-files in that alot of stuff happens that doesn't tell you anything. I guess thats how they reel you in and keep you interested. It works.

I mean it pisses me off to, when they stretch it out and have fillers, but this episode did not do that at all, it explained alot of what happened. I like how it went back through previous episodes and showed Micheal's position, it brought alot of things together. Pretty straight forward just as I thought, he just loves Walt too much, and would do anything for him. I am glad Saaid(sp) picked up on him, the finale should be good, but it will def keep me hanging, like last year. Personally I would be happy if they end LOST soon, before it becomes crappy, its doing good right now, and I know ratings and money are all that matter, but a third season or even a forth might make me want to cry.

no i like it, but hyping an episode all week only to have it turn out to be another boring filler show really sucks.

when micheal let the dude go, you knew he turned, so of course he's leading them to a trap. the only new thing this week was mrs clue or whatever (really could have worked on the name a bit harder ;) ).

carnival or homicide or sports nite had sidetracks, but never 3 episodes in a single season that only had 3 minutes of new content.
