He is not going to come in and dominate someone like Lavar Arrington week in and week out.
He wouldn't have to, LaVar would over pursue the play.
I heard somewhere that Mike Williams only went to USC because it was the only school that wasn't going to force him into a TE / H-back position. I think he'd be great at that position. I'm not a big Mike Williams fan, but depending on who his agent is and how much up front cash he demands, I'd definitly think about taking him in the Supplemental draft. If he goes back to USC he'll be a top 1-2 pick next year. If nothing else he'd have huge trade value. |
He probably would be one of the elite receivers next year if he had stayed. I dont know about the USC thing. I didnt think he was even going to play football at first. Either way, hes a great receiver now. It would definitly be a big decision for anyteam to give up next years pick for him
I can't believe rashaun woods and lee evans are also in this draft- did anyone see that game where woods had like 6 or 7 scores???
yeah i saw that game. he had 7 td receptions, 13 overall receptions for 233 that game. i don't care who the competion, if one wr is getting that many touches in the endzone, that's one hell of a game. a lot of scouts seem to think he's one of if not the best route runner in the draft and he and fitzgerald are very similar in body control. |
I think the bigger thing that happened this week is New England getting Dilon. I think the Raiders thought they could get him. They really need a RB and they arn't going to get him with the 2nd pick. So they will be looking to trade down or maybe even trade away their pick if the deal is good enough.

But the raiders have huggybear's son!

lol, you see how this his father is? Someone needs to lay off the crack.

OK, I don't know enough about Williams, but put it this way: If we traded Gardner for a proven TE or DE, picked up Taylor in the 1st round and drafted Williams in the supplemental, would we really be in that bad a shape? I think not. OK we sacrifice next years 1st, but we'd hopefully have a killer 1,2,3 punch at WR, a good TE/DE and a lethal safety. With the likelihood of Trotter going in a draft day trade, probably in combo to move one of out lower picks up, we may be able to scrape a 2nd rounder and get on of the good DL on offer.
May be a long shot, but we could complete the picture of next years starting roster by next week?! |
It woudl be nice to get M.Williams but theres no guarentee we would have the chance to pick him in the supplemental draft. We might end up with the 13th pick. And im sure he would get picked prior to that.
