This shit is real interesting. The bum-ass Giants lose a game they should have loss in regulation. They just wasted more time than expected. We are still in it. Let's see if we can bounce back after this loss. I still believe.
I believe as well. We just need to win out, which is entirely possible. Who has the better division record? Dallas or NY? Whoever that is, I want to lose when they play each other.

Re: The NFC East is crowded

The Giants loss makes our loss today sting even more because we could have been one game out. Then again, we're only two games out of first place (and in last place at the same time).

Giants are 2-1, Cowboys are 3-1

Let's start by ending this damn losing streak.
you guys r pathetic. The giants and cowboys r better than us.Hell the eagles r better than us.
Are you crazy? Have you been sipping on that Yak? The Giants, Cowboys and Eagles are not better than the Redskins. The Redskins beat the Seahawks while the Cowboys and Giants haven't. Oh by the way we also beat the big and bad Bears too. Nobody beats the Redskins like the Redskins.

Any team that can score 35 points on the Bucs in Tampa is far from a bust. Key injuries have plagued this team, while bad play-calling has killed us in the last three games. The Giants and Cowboys could be sitting their asses at home watching us in the playoffs. 10-6 is possible.

I believe Dallas is 3-1 in the division. We need those Bastards to lose. And lose big.

no need if we win out we will have a better division record anyway because we would serve the gints their second and we have a tiebreaker over cowboys.

I THINK i want cowboys to win but i will decide soon

First, I am having a hard time reading your posts. Would you please try to use more punctuation and fewer abbreviations?

Second, we actually beat Chicago.

Re: The NFC East is crowded

What's so great about these last five games are that we really have the best situation at hand if we straigten up and continue to throw the ball in the fourth quarter we will win. Dallas plays the Giants, Chiefs, Redskins, Panthers, Rams. Giants play Cowboys,Eagles Chiefs, Redskins, Raiders. And of course the Reskins play Rams, Cardinals,Cowboys, Giants and Eagles.

We all know the reputation of the Giants in the second half of the season. 4-4 in 2003 record 4-12. 5-2 in 2004 record 6-10. I'm not convinced none of these teams are that great. But if you listen to Espn, Fox Sports and the NFL Network, shit Dallas is already in the playoffs and the Giants with
the wildcard. We shall see.

NEVER give up, we made the playoffs- they start sunday. We have to win out the rest of the year, 9 games:biggthump

Question. Say we lose to the Rams and Cards and win the last 3 division games. That puts the record at 8-8, but we will have gone 5-1 in the division. Does that mean we win the NFC east and make the playoffs?

For example if we beat the cowboys twice we will have the tie breaker over them, and if we beat the gints they will have beat us once and us them once therefore the next step in the tie breaker is division record

No, the team with the best record wins the division. Only when two or more teams have identical records does the division record come into play.

Your post says a lot. This year's team is not as bad as a lot of people, like yourself, believe. However, when you look at this year's team in the context of our recent high hopes and poor records in years past, then this year's team becomes really frustrating.

With this 2-6 run, this season definitely feels like a repeat of last season and the season before that and the season before that ...

I try to give each year's team a fresh slate. While it's understandable that people would compare this year's team to last year's, in my opinion we are better than last year's team by leaps and bounds.

Does anyone remember just how bad our offense was last year? Apparently, a lot is forgotten in one year.

Re: The NFC East is crowded

i feel that i am somewhat homerish and i believe in this team but someone on the radio said something, even though i disagreed with it, it made me think

Had we lost any one of the first three we wouldn't think that we are a good team, after those first 3 i was so high and at 5-3 people were talking HOMEFIELD ADVANTAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!! and i feel that we have been riding some of those first victories to influence our thoughts on how good this team really is, we have played some really close games but i think most of us agree they have been pretty bad. Nothing can convince me that we are a BAD team but after losing 6 out of 8 why do we still think we are good, its because of the first 3, had we just lost one of those three i think our perception about this team would be a lot different

The offense has improved, but it has shut down in the fourth quarter of the past two weeks, when we desperately needed a score. And we've only scored more than 21 points twice this year, I believe.

Yup, but barely. I was a wee little youngster during Gibbs' first tenure. I remember my first Redskins game at RFK in 1987 (I was just 8 years old). My older brother was (and is) a diehard Redskins fan. So, I remember the glory days.

I also remember the god-awful days. Trust me, as bad as we are, we're nowhere near as bad as we have been in the not to distant past.
