Giants | More about Tyree signing
Thu, 23 Mar 2006 05:50:15 -0800

Ralph Vacchiano, of the New York Daily News, reports New York Giants WR David Tyree's five-year contract is worth $7.5 million. It also included a signing bonus of about $1.5 million. Giants' general manager Ernie Accorsi insisted that "this has nothing to do with the receiver situation. Quite simply, this signing is about special teams." "David Tyree is clearly the best special teams player I've ever been around," Accorsi added. "That's enough for him to earn the money he will receive." Accorsi added that the Giants stepped up their effort to re-sign the restricted free agent because of "rumblings" about a team signing him to an offer sheet. The Baltimore Ravens had expressed an interest in Tyree.

Cowboys | Glenn would like a raise
Thu, 23 Mar 2006 05:49:50 -0800

Clarence E. Hill Jr., of the Star-Telegram, reports Dallas Cowboys WR Terry Glenn and agent James Gould visited with the Cowboys Wednesday, March 22, about doing something with his contract. He is expected to get $2.25 million in 2006 and $2.5 million in 2007. Glenn said he is not making any contract demands and has no plans to hold out, but he would like for them to consider giving him a raise.

asking for a raise with no leverage probably isn't going to end up with more money in your pockets.

I was also wondering how Parcell's "girl" is going to like being Owens' bitch?

The OT situation still needs work. But yeah, you aren't gonna draft that in round 2. Either LB or DT, with a (very) outside possibility of TE or CB

Also, I think T. Howard may go as early as 28 to Jacksonville.

its possible, i know they're interested, but he's generally regarded as the 6-7-8th best LB. i'm sure we'll see though.
