Re: 2010 Redskins Final Cutdown
My biggest question mark over the final 53 is the lopsided nature of the lines.
On offence we have 5 starters but just 3 back-ups, while on defence we have 3 starters and 5 back-ups and that doesn't include 4 guys listed as LBs that can also play on the line. |

The defensive front will substitute constantly throughout the game so while we list 3 starters, in reality 2 to 3 of the defensive backups will play as much as the starting line will. |

Having said that, I see we have 3 O-line guys on the practice squad, so we do have a safety valve should we need it. |
Re: 2010 Redskins Final Cutdown
You just have to look at the PS as a an extension of the roster, maybe.

Re: 2010 Redskins Final Cutdown
LB Mike Balogun signed to PS.

Re: 2010 Redskins Final Cutdown
I would guess with that signing LB Henson's knee turned out to be worst than first expected.

Re: 2010 Redskins Final Cutdown
Well, the thing with Henson is I believe hewould have made the team over Blades. He was the better performer in live action this preseason and if he become healthy at some point this year I would not be surprised to see him back on the team.

I thought once you are placed on IR you can't play for the whole year no matter what. |
Re: 2010 Redskins Final Cutdown
Even though the 53-man roster was completed yesterday, and the 8-man pratice squad was finalized today. I look for a few moves in the next day or two.
Will be interesting to see who we can pick up to upgrade the team. My main concerns are DB/ Secondary depth, OL depth, WR quality. Breaking Down the Redskins' Final Roster |

You thought right. Luckily for us Henson was released with an injury settlement, which means we can bring him back if we want to. I would be pleasantly suprised if they cut him so they can use the roster spot and plan on bringing him back later in the year if his injury isn't that serious. |
