He's not getting drafted at #9, and unless the Cowboys move up to the bottom of the first round, he might be somewhere else.

I could live with that.

Im really hoping we can move down in either round (both would be great) and get more picks.

The more I think about Carlos being a d*ckhead and wanting an extreme amount of money, the more I think Prince would be very good value at 10.

Carlos really isn't that bad a guy, he just got himself in a bad situation.

Just think though if we drafted Prince whenever he made a game saving/winning play we could all yell "Game. Blouses!"

If we draft Prince at #10 and then let Carlos walk it will feel like we are just spinning our wheels to me...

Yeah, I get that same feeling. To make this is a failure of the FO, because when you draft and develop talent before we get to this point, good management will lock him up, mitigating crazy contracts numbers. I know Carlos is not a probowl corner, but he has above good coverage skills.

I don't know that you could pin Carlos' departure on poor management really.

Hard to lock up a guy that doesn't want to be locked up. This is on Los for having unrealstic contract expectations.

Did we ever offer him an extention at any point? I didnt know if we did. Ill use Cooley as example where we did a good job around the same era with a good contract extention.

If we gain another hole in the D at CB, is the moving Philip Buchanon into the stater role the plan SS? That would be kinda scary IMO.

Officially I don't know if an offer was made, but they definitely spoke. Rogers made some really poor financial decisions, rendering him basically broke. He's starting to pull out of it but he needs a lot of money. He's not likely to get that here

PB's a free agent too, but I think he stays (just my gut though). Barnes was asked to, and did, gain a lot of weight to move to safety...then we signed Atogwe and now he's being asked, and is, to lose the weight and move back to CB

Good info thanks. Wow its like a soap opera at CB and we didnt even mention the worst player in the NFL (according to this site) across from Los.

It's hard to pay a lot of money or use a high draft pick on a position thats only directly involved in no more then 10 plays a game. However Corner these days has become a pretty safe position. Almost, if not safer, then drafting a Left Tackle. At least in the top 10.
