Re: Redskins Free Agents List
Pryor could really blow up in this offense, no doubt

Re: Redskins Free Agents List
I think the biggest thing that nobody's talking about is the difference we're going to notice in the willingness to block in the run game. We never ran to DJax's side of the field because he made no bones about being unwilling to block.
PG always did, credit him for that. But Pryor was a good and willing blocker for Cleveland. Crowder will mix it up, and Doctson was good with it at TCU. I think we're going to be much better at punching the ball in the end zone. We definitely won't get deep quite like we did with DJax but it figures to be a more consistent offense. |

Forgot to talk about it but he does seem to be a decent and willing run blocker, saw him hold a little bit here and there but at least that shows he's trying his best! |

Hoping we finally average more than 1 yard per carry, and that we have some semblance of a red-zone running game. Many things can help run game - (1) WR blocking, (2) WR blocking, (3) TE blocking - ?Sprinkle, (4) Gruden calling more runs as playcaller, (5) Perine? (6) Cousins being more comfortable calling run vs pass / audibling out of bad plays. Can't wait for August to see what we have.. |

Gruden is pass-happy. |

true, but even the Great Joe Gibbs was once a pass happy youngster & he learned to rely on the ground game. |
Re: Redskins Free Agents List
Gruden told Fat Rob to lose some weight because we're going to be running more this year.

Re: Redskins Free Agents List
Another thing about Pryor: he ran a 4.38 at the combine, DJax ran a 4.35.
Jay Gruden said QBs kept under throwing Pryor at OTAs. So he'll also replace that speed threat Jackson was for us ! |
Re: Redskins Free Agents List
jackson had a knack to get by any db in the league several times agame. i do not think there is a better wr in the league that can do that like he can.

If Sprinkle makes the team we have a TE, RB, and Receivers who can block. One of the best RT's in the game and a RG who's a road grader. Perrine should be able to wear down the defense and Thompson can do his thing even better. This should be one hell of an offense and the defense should make leaps and bounds over last year. Looking forward to it. |
