Re: Democratic Primary Push for White House
Once Klobuchar and Buttegieg drop out likely after Super Tuesday, Biden will start collecting more delegates. Bernie will make a showing, but Biden will end up winning. Bloomberg showed in the debates he isn't the candidate that will beat Trump. The question will be how many Sanders voters refuse to vote for Biden in the general election.
The democrats aren't putting a lifelong independent, who is a socialist, on their ticket. It's not happening. |
I have a Maryland medicinal card ... its really easy to get. The dispensaries are always packed with people and theres more and more dispensaries opening up daily.
I think I would be against blanket legalization. I dont think some 18 year old should just be able to walk in and walk out with 2 ounces of flower, 40 mg edibles, vape pens and shatter etc. I dont want some 18 or 22 year old driving around with his buddies eating 40 mg edibles. Those things can get you and sometimes can creep up on you. Some dumb kid will eat one, not feel anything in 5 mins get impatient and eat like 2 more. Its basically already legal in Maryland. I think there should be some paperwork and steps people have to go through to get a card. The State is taxing it very high already almost to the point companies are starting to think they wont be making a profit. It is making Maryland a ton of tax revenue.
You have pretty much described the same thing with young people and drinking. Make the legal age for purchase 21 then, like alcohol. |
So coming off the Biden big win in South Carolina...I would expect Obama would have to endorse JB before Super Tuesday in order to attempt to sway away momentum from Bernie?
Or is this another political mistake in the career of most overrated? Am I missing something?
I think Obama might wait to endorse until the field is narrowed down. Obama should be focused on the big picture, which is supporting whatever candidate emerges from the smoke. Whoever it is, Sanders or Biden, it's going to be a tough sell convincing the moderates or progressives to throw their entire weight behind one candidate. |

Penalize driving while high the same way you penalize DUI, and train officers on signs they can look for to spot someone driving while high. |

It is far too late for this obvious change to be made.
Could you imagine the effect on the upcoming election if Trump instructed the DOJ to stop prosecuting marijuana sales and made a broad commutation of all minor marijuana charges after the conventions. It would be YUGE. Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk |

So he probably won't do it :D |

So he probably won't do it :D
Timing would be critical, it has to be after the republican convention to prevent a huge backlash there, but far enough from the election to allow anti-legalization forces in the republican party to take a breath and not skip voting due to that issue. I actually think he will try something like this. The candidates the Dems put up are white rich and very little holds the african american man to them. Trump made it a point in his state of the union to recognize men and women of color. He attended a fresh start graduation while the dems were bickering on stage (doubt that made the msm), he has been touting historic unemplyment rates. I believe a grand gesture is coming that Trump sees as a knockout punch. Remember the line what have you got to lose. If I were Trump's marketing manager, I would have an ad that starts off with the 7 (mostly old) white people fighting about who can get the "black and brown" people's vote, then flash 2015 unemployment numbers and 2020 numbers, ending with Trump saying what have you got to lose. Buttegieg suspends his campaign. Wonder what happens with the Bernie Bros when Biden gets the nomination.

And he doesn't have to worry about messaging or Pence saying something he doesn't like because Pence is a Trump loyalist. |
