Bieneimy seems to enamored with his playbook. It's like he's trying to prove himself as a coordinator and Howell and his protection be damned.

Rivera and JDR are as mediocre as it gets in this league. I've seen enough of those two. The jury is still out on Bieneimy. He's been very uneven in the early going.
I got EB already down. He can put the plays together. But that seems to be about it. He can't adjust to the players he has. He still thinks he's got 15 and Sam just ain't that guy.

His shotgun spread stuff may work against the weaker teams but he gets exposed against a team like the Bills.

Next week will pretty much tell it all. The Eagles are going to rush, they got some dogs on their front 4. If there are no adjustments in formations and protections then we know EB just isn't the guy.

A new QB with less than 5 starts and this OL are not compatible. Our OL is absolutely fucking atrocious. Howell is not set-up for success. No QB would be, really.

Our line is an embarrassment to the game of football. And it will be Rivera's death knell, which really isn't a bad thing, if you can think about 2024 over 2023.

EB getting a lot of crap but Sam was awful today. You can’t move the ball much with 5 TOs. And should have been 6.

True, but his offensive coordinator put him in positions to fail all day.
EB is in the same situation as the owner. Coming here when there was a spending freeze. GM Ron taking backup d backs and ignoring the Oline in the draft.
Let EB have a real offseason just like Harris. Not one where the main goal was for douchebag to gtfo. Give him some semblance of an oline and an experienced quarterback. He will have both next year.

As shitty as today is the future of this team without Dans stink on it is right around the corner. Full complement of draft picks, ton of cap space, and a new owner eager to put his stamp on things. It is the perfect storm. Look at this year as a “who wants to be part of the new direction” auditions. That goes for players, coaches, brass, and the mother fuckers selling loose joints in the parking lot.
Spending freeze?? When has going on spending sprees worked? They resigned Payne to a huge deal, they signed Gates, signed Barton and Wylie. It's not like money wasn't being spent.

Bieneimy is hanging Howell out to dry, so that is where the criticism is stemming. You can't continue to go empty backfield with a porous o-line and not at least leave an extra blocker or two to help protect Howell.

Have to agree with all of this. The 1st-and-goal from the 6 series was awful. We score a TD there, and maybe things don't go so downhill so fast. Maybe we can afford to stay with the running game. Empty backfield and no attempt at a sneak with 3rd and goal at the 1 means that we aren't a physical offense, and we surrendered.

No sign of life from our coaching staff today.

Wylie should be shot to the moon. Gates should be a swing, back-up, G/C. Rivera the GM failed epically on using limited resources correctly. And it's going to get him fired.

We don't have anymore than 1 or 2 actual starting quality offensive lineman.

this.. I think we have one NFL quality o-linemen, Cosmi. Outside of that, the rest are back-ups. Wylie may not even be that.

Really needed one of those 2nd round picks the last two years to be on someone that can block.

They were extremely limited in free agency because of the selling of the team. Thought this was fairly common knowledge.

Cosmi and possibly Charles. I hope Charles can stay healthy all season to see if something is there.

The other 3 should not be starting next year, or even on the team.

I'll hedge and say we need 3.5 new guys next year, with 4 being a very real possibility.

I don't think they were limited. They signed and resigned who they wanted. Didn't they pretty much spend all of the cap this year?

They're limited by their limited ability to make good decisions.

Well, I'll give you that, partially. Not every decision is gonna pan out though.

Feels like we're being nitpicky - I don't know that there was a single unit on the entire team from the coaching staff on down that earned a passing grade today.

Well maybe Tress Way, but everybody else - F. As thorough an ass-whipping as it gets. Burn the tape.
