You can access your Netflix account which is what I mostly use it for. Or you can rent/buy stuff through iTunes. |
Oh man. I absolutely love that show. As a married guy who loves fantasy football, you're in for a fun ride.
All of my favorite shows of the past several years are all either no longer running or on hiatus (Friday Night Lights, 24, Lost, Entourage, Boardwalk Empire, The League, etc etc). Looks like it's time to get into Breaking Bad. Love the Roku and Netflix.
BB is top notch tv |
re: What Shows Are You Watching?
Started watching The League yesterday too. I loved it, my wife not as much lol
Funny. I just started watching it two days ago. I'm already at episode 10. |
Anyone watch Alcatraz? I watched the first two hours, it was ok, didn't really pull me in. I was kind of hoping it was going to be good.
I would preferred if it had just been about the prison and the prisoners set in the era they were there vs. this kind of SCI FI twist to it.
I actually kinda dug it and I'm looking forward to the next episode. On a side note I've been burning through some tv shows lately and trying to get some opinions on either which of these to watch first or if there's another show I might not be thinking about. The ones I'm thinking about watching/catching up on are: Firefly, Mad Men, American Horror Story, Supernatural, and Homeland. |

It's been a while since I liked a sitcom, but I've gotta admit I'm a fan of The Big Bang Theory.

Just started watching that too. Sometimes I feel like it's a little dull with all the nerd speak though. |
re: What Shows Are You Watching?
Anyone watching House of Lies on Showtime with Don Cheadle and Kristin Bell? A little over the top, but pretty entertaining.
|
re: What Shows Are You Watching?
Also, just finished the 4th of 15 episodes of Ancient Aliens on Netflix via History Channel. Crazy.

re: What Shows Are You Watching?
Catching up on The Bing Bang Theory. I need to apologize to Dirtbag for saying this show sucks.

The first 3 or 4 seasons of Weeds were great. After that it just felt like they were forcing it. |

Really? I am starting to hate that show. There are more zombies in a episode of Gloden Girls then TWD. |

Well, considering it was just picked up for a 3rd season, they're doing some side stories and character development. Can't really have sustained success if every episode is nothing but a zombie shooting gallery. I thought that last scene in the bar in town was riveting. Rick is a bad ass. |

They need to get off the farm and go to the federal prison. There be a lot more story lines. |

I've been watching that too. That show is hilarious. I feel like Sheldon can be overly dry sometimes though. |

I thought that last scene in the bar in town was riveting. Rick is a bad ass.
YES. I was whining about last season and how there wasn't enough action. Now THIS is what I'm talking about. That being said, I'm still ready for them to move on from the farm. |

They need to get off the farm and go to the federal prison. There be a lot more story lines.
If people want the show to be around for a while, I think you have to accept it as a drama just as much as an action show. It's not a military story or a 24-type television show. It's just average folks dealing with post-apocalyptic stuff. If it was the group constantly running from/shooting walkers every single episode, it would get played out pretty quickly. That said, I agree that there's some room for more action at this point. I also agree that they need to put the farm behind them and move on. If I had to guess, the farm will end up getting overrun by walkers, and they'll all be forced to move on, Herschel included. |
re: What Shows Are You Watching?
I agree, if it was just a zombie slasher fest, yawn, people would have tuned out already, including myself

Really read the graphic novels, plenty of zombie killing with a great story line. And I also agree it can't be all slash but come on it has been very very slow this season. |

I only know it as a TV show, and a good one at that, IMO. In my experience, TV shows/movies based on books rarely live up. I learned that at a young age with Jurrasic Park. |

It just has the potential to be fawking awesome if they follow the book (BTW they are comic books). |

Rick is officially a badass now

I think if it stays like that, and goes a little more action or a little more drama the rest of the season, I'm totally down. |
re: What Shows Are You Watching?
The story line would pick up if they get off that damn farm. In the comic books they were barley there.

re: What Shows Are You Watching?
I know it's not a new show, but I wasn't about to start a new thread about it. Anyway, my next door neighbor growing up who I've know since I was 7 or 8 years old, Ross Eisenbrey, is the guest on The Colbert Report tonight. He still lives next door to my mom and stepdad in the house where I grew up. In fact they played scrabble together on Sunday night. Pretty cool, pretty psyched for him.

I've been watching Smash not because I'm into the storylines but because it is a hot woman fest.
