Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker
I think Porter is visiting with the Raiders right now.
|
Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker
Just my preference, I would rather Meriweather play FS, he excelled there in NE, when he moved to SS he regressed.
|
Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker
I would be fine with Porter as well.
Certainly more than the Redskins were willing to pay for Ross. Curious how heavily this may impact other potentially pending moves.
Darn you SS I don't know if I read too far into everything you write now... but however this effects D Hall I would be OK with it happening no matter who takes his place. If I am off base, move along nothing to see here. |

I agree I would be fine with Meriweather at either Free or Strong. Hes got the range and speed to play Free, but with our situation at safety now I like him in the box bc he is physical. Bottom line is we need another starting safety across from him regardless if its strong or free. |
Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker
Does anyone know anything about Kevin Haslam? He's a tackle with the Jags who has been released. Here is Scouts Inc's report on him:
Grade: 52 | Key Comment: Haslam has adequate initial quickness and average agility and body control. He has to work to keep his pad level down to leverage blocks. He needs to work on getting his hands up and into opponents quicker -- he often lets defensive linemen get into him too quickly. He is not especially quick or agile when pulling or trapping and can struggle when in space but does have strong hands. He needs to work on recognizing stunts and twists. |
Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker
whats going on with Atogwe, i would rather him than anyone on our roster right now to play across Merriweather

The last thing I heard about O.J. was that he visited the Jets and was scheduled to meet the Detroit Lions soon. |

Let him test the market, see what offers are out there. If none, he may return |
Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker
If O.J. is healthy I would welcome him back.

Boy would I like to have Atogwe back

Porter and William Gay would be solid choices to at least consider |

Rather have gay than porter......
|
Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker

Is there any interest in either? |
Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker
Stephen Tulloch has resigned with Detroit. This is important because thats the first big name ILB to sign. This gives us and Fletcher an idea as to where to start negotiations.

Nice round up of some free agents left in the market by PFT

If he was good enough to start in SF (according to this Goldson's return kept him as a backup) the Skins should look at him (doesn't say whether he's a RFA or UFA). |

SF signs Alex smith.. what a pussy he is and Houston trades demeco ryans to Philly
|
Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker
Eagles just made a good move by trading for Ryans from Houston. I'm surprised Houston decided to trade him away, I'm not even sure if Houston already have a replacement player yet?

Seems like the eagles always get good deals on trades |

3rd and 4th round pick. Texans making room for Peyton Manning. |

According to PFT, Josh Johnson is visiting the Skins on Wednesday.

Under no circumstances. Repeat NO CIRCUMSTANCES is anyone to tell Smootsmack. He's still recovering from Chase Daniels and a let down with Josh Johnson might kill him. |

If we went from Beck, Grossman, and Crompton to Robert Griffin III, Grossman and Johnson that would be pretty good. |

Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker
I think the Eagles made a really good move trading for Demeco Ryans. Why were the Texans willing to let him go? As far as I know he is a really good player. This will definitely solidify that MLB spot for the Eagles.

Maybe Eagles GM have dirty secrets on many NFL GMs and blackmail them into trading whatever Eagles want. |

Agreed. Their LB corp was terrible last year. He'll help. He was playing a lot better towards the end of the season. |
Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker
Yeah, good move by the Pigeons. LB was a glaring weakness for them.
|
Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker
LB is going to be a glaring need for us, if we dont sign London, or his replacement.
|
Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker
The deal with Fletcher will get done. Bruce Allen is just waiting for the first ILB free agent to sign to give them an idea of what type of deal to present to Fletcher. But based on what's Fletcher has meant to the team since 2007 the Redskins front office need to show their appreciation and give London Fletcher a lucrative deal and forget about it already.

yea we need to sign him or curtis lofton. and we still have other holes at RT and safety |
