There might be a couple but I don't see the WFT as one that needs him. Teams want to draft a youngster and have them take over.

And have him on a rookie contract for several years.

Deshaun Watson’s no-trade clause is determining which teams the Texans will talk to, but Houston’s demands are what has held up a deal thus far, per source.

Teams are hesitant to overpay for a QB who faces 22 pending lawsuits with allegations of sexual assault.

Texans' wish for Watson is ridiculous given the current situation - three 1st round picks and starting-caliber players. At this point, I would be shocked if a team caves in and give what Texans want.

All the media heads keep saying Philly, how can Philly afford Watson and what would they give? I don't see it

Most reports are saying the Dolphins or Eagles will get him.

I almost hope he goes to Philly, and they get burned when he goes to jail.

Packers aren't going to release him. It will take multiple picks, including multiple 1's. And he will be another year older. Pass!

I said he was an ass…I didn’t say he wasn’t talented or he couldn’t help us….you just have to decide if catering to an obnoxious diva is worth it. I don’t.

Re: Around the NFL: NFL Offseason

Tom Brady can be a huge prick at times and I would not care that at all if he was playing for our team. I feel the same way about Rodgers.

Of all teams, Green Bay should have known better to have an exit plan for Rodgers, once they drafted Jordan Love. Honestly, this is borderline Bruce Allen stupidity by the Packers.

Watched the AR presser and I had zero problems with his rationale. Sure he sounds like a diva but is he wrong? The only reason players go to GB is to have a chance to win and he's the main reason they are a contender year in and year out. I wish we had those "problems".

People go there because there are only 32 teams and every spot in the NFL is extremely valuable. People will be signing with Green Bay long after he leaves.

Did Preston Smith sign with GB because Rodgers was there or they offered him the most money? My guess would be the money.

Maybe a veteran receiver will sign a contract there partly because of him. But I don't think that's the same for most other positions.

The guy is a d-bag.

Unless he ends up on our team somehow, I hope he never wins another ring.

He can cry a river right into retirement.

Of course money plays in but GB sure looks more attractive with AR at the helm guiding them to 12 or 13 wins and a division title.

This.

If he leaves and the Packers build a team where all the "good" players signed because of the money, wellll we more than anyone should know how that works out.

There are premium players in this league that already have money and want to win a title. So they only want to go to teams that have a chance at the title. A-Rod affords them that opportunity.

Honestly, listening to the press conf, I didn't have any issues with his arguments. Yes his presence is a factor that can help attract good players, and yes when your 17 seasons HoF QG says he wants to be more involved in decision making... you listen ! He seems to be a pain in the A, but as a franchise you can NOT let the dialogue and relationship break as GB's FO seems to have done.

My issue is, after publicly ripping the FO this way, how is this not going to affect the general mood in the building, and ultimately in the locker room ? How does the coach feel about it ?
It won't affect AR's level of play, but Football is still a team sport...

Colts' second-year QB Jacob Eason took the starter reps at today's practice, with Sam Ellinger as his backup.

https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2021/07/31/clyde-christensen-thought-everyone-knew-tom-brady-had-a-torn-mcl/

Clyde Christensen “thought everyone knew” Tom Brady had a torn MCL

Some have floated the notion that the Bucs are blameless for hiding the injury because Brady hid it from the Bucs. Quarterbacks coach Clyde Christensen unwittingly blew up that theory in a recent appearance on CBS Sports Radio.

I thought everyone knew [about Brady’s torn MCL],” Christensen said, via JoeBucsFan.com. “When I first met him, he said, ‘Hey, my knee’s not 100 percent but with the tape job and stuff I’ll make it through the season and after the season we’ll get her fixed up.’ . . . He really does have a unique understanding of his body and competing and what it takes, etc., and can manage it. . . . He kind of managed it. We tried to be smart. . . . We really didn’t modify much

Think I found a guy the NFL might want to talk too if there is an investigation. You would think the Bucs would had a gag order on anybody even talking about it.

Wentz not having surgery now:

Maybe he plays this season but who knows at this point. Indy also just signed Brett Hundley creating more competition. Think they are going to miss Rivers this year.

Completions of 20+ yards, Steelers' training camp (last four practices).

Dwayne Haskins: 6
