Fri, 24 Mar 2006 06:01:56 -0800 Mary Kay Cabot, of the Plain Dealer, reports Cleveland Browns TE Kellen Winslow Jr. (knee) underwent arthroscopic surgery on his reconstructed right knee in January, Browns general manager Phil Savage confirmed Thursday, March 23. "It was just a very minor procedure to clear out some scar tissue from his previous surgery," Savage said. "The doctors tell me he's doing great and he's at the facility (in Berea) working out every day." In August, Winslow revealed he was recovering from a staph infection in the right knee that caused him to lose almost 30 pounds. so he's also caught staph and losts 30 pounds... things just aren't going his way. |

The salary cap only counts against the 52 highest payed players on the roster. So assuming that at least 52 players were making at least as much as Bethea, the Skins recieve absolutely no cap relief. |

and whoever you cut, the next guy comes in, so cutting a 350k player (if he was in your top 51 or 52 or whatever), would be replaced by either another 350k player or a 275k player... maxxing your possible savings at 75k :( |
