Ricky Jean's stats were almost identical to Ziggy's, so probably a little of both.... we are not sure what they paid Hood yet, that was probably a factor too |

Cooley's film breakdown of Terrell McClain and Stacy McGee:
ESPN 980 Audio Vault - Play Now He gave McClain a C+, IIRC he said he was solid against the run, average pass rusher, great work ethic. He seemed happy with the signing. McGee was a C-, big guy but not playing hard enough, stoping his feet when blocked or double teamed. Overall Cooley gave a D to the DLs signing, saying since this is obviously a position of need, we have to add a real playmaker this offseason. Good thing this draft class has a lot of talent at this position! |

Good backup and locker room guy, wonder if they'll try to bring him back on the cheap |

I just don't understand when Baker became the be all Redskin to re-sign. I can see people being sad about DJAX and PG but Baker? DJAX and PG were stand out players on our strongest position; Baker stood out in a talent less group. Who cares? See ya Baker. That D-Line was awful it need to be completely torn down and rebuilt. |
Re: Redskins Free Agent Signings
Im not sold on our Dline being better once the season starts. Im ok with the moves, but Im not so sure they will work out. I think Logan would have been greater addition than both McClain and Stacy.
Right now my feeling on the draft is kinda eff WR and RB, draft Front Seven with the first 2 picks. |

But since this draft has a lot of talented DLs, if a promising rb is available at 17, I wouldn't be mad if they pick him, and then find a dynamic DL in the 2nd or 3rd round. Free agency isn't over though and I'm still expecting a playmaker either at DL or ILB. Envoyé de mon TOMMY en utilisant Tapatalk |

If so and same caliber, I wouldn't be oppose....as long as it wouldnt prevent us in signing Cousins long term. |

But, he was easily the best D Lineman we had and an above average talent. But lets not even try to resign the guy and instead let Tampa get him at a more than fair price. Then lets bring in a guy who might be as good but cant stay healthy(I dont dislike this signing), and for 25 million lets get another guy who's basically a career backup(do dislike this signing). Then lets release our 2nd best D Lineman from last year. Its an interesting strategy |

I think a guy like Zach Brown could be signed for less money than Norman, couldn't he? Also keep in mind signing KC long term would save us some cap room next season compared to him playing under the tag for 24M a year... Envoyé de mon TOMMY en utilisant Tapatalk |

The good news is that the draft is loaded with DL prospects and there are enough good ILB prospects that we might be able to get one of them, as well. I know I'm about to get skewered for this idea, but I think this may be a draft where we should try to move up to the early second round if the right player for us is still on the board. I believe from what I've read that there are more players with first round grades than usual in this draft and many of them are DL's. |
