Re: How Long Will Jay Gruden Last This Season as Head Coach?
He really is. Makes zero sense for him to be so devoted to a guy who has done nearly nothing for his team.

Re: How Long Will Jay Gruden Last This Season as Head Coach?
I can not believe that Manusky is still the DC. If the players hadn't rebelled before now, having the head coach throw the players under the bus for a DC that they know is the problem, guarantees this defense is doomed.

Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
When the 49ers canned Manusky when Harbaugh took over the defense went from 16th to 2nd from one year to the next with pretty much the same players on the field. What does that tell you? |

Everything we hear indicates Manusky/Tomsula is a package deal, if they fire Manusky Tomsula will walk too. So what are your other options? Rob Ryan? or Ray Horton? Maybe they don't trust Horton to do a good job, and obviously Rob Ryan is like the Manusky of position coaches. |
Re: How Long Will Jay Gruden Last This Season as Head Coach?
How the fuck has Jay not been fired yet?? Unreal man, I guess it'll take a 0-16 fucking season

If I'm gonna be honest I was pretty swayed by the "firing Gruden changes nothing this season" argument all the writers are making. But Manusky? Fuck that bitch, I want blood. |

Re: How Long Will Jay Gruden Last This Season as Head Coach?
Gruden isn't going anywhere until after the season. The guys on the staff can't even get their position groups right. And you want them to take over? C'mon. The wheels will really fall off. Just have to stick it out until the season is over and I think Snyder knows that.

Re: How Long Will Jay Gruden Last This Season as Head Coach?
When Gruden goes, it will be bye week or after game 16. They can sack Manusky tomorrow as the D can't get any worse, but they need Gruden to at least try to hold things together until they have time to weigh up their options. If he's lost the locker room, then he has to go in bye week but I can see him lasting out the season. My question is,who do you replace him with in either situation? Do we promote from within to see out the season or is there someone sat at home that can come in and get us going in the right direction?

Callahan taking over as interim HC is my guess. OConnell calls the O plays. Make Ryan or Tomsula the interim D Coord. |

So, what happens if he starts McCoy and they destroy the Patriots?

Re: How Long Will Jay Gruden Last This Season as Head Coach?
I'm gonna give Haskins a pass. Because…I don't know if Daniel Jones would've looked good in Washington, or anybody, because nobody's coaching there. There's no conditioning, there's no coaching. They're an expansion team."

People forget how amazing our defense played that night too. Bashaud Breeland basically took a prime Dez Bryant completely out of the game |
