It happens. I'm amazed by how tied up all of you are in this team. I love the redskins too and have visited this website for years and no every single person on the roster, but I don't go ape shit just because Jason Campbell threw 2 interceptions. He brought us back. Thank god he put us in the position in the first place.
I get the feeling that it would have been better if he just sucked the whole game and didn't even bring the team back.
The Redskins are the only sports team I genuinely CARE about. I live and die with this team - if we win, I'm elated for days, if we lose I'm pissed for days. Somewhere around Wednesday or Thursday I switch over and look forward to next week, always thinking we'll win it. If you don't care if they win or lose, fine. Many of us here have followed the Skins since we were little kids and we live and die with our team every week. My grandfather was a Skins fan, my Dad was a Skins fan, I've been watching the Skins since I was old enough to be propped up in front of the TV. Yeah, it's great Campbell at least tried and got close, doesn't mean most of us aren't pissed as all get out that our season is effectively finished. |
Re: Redskins at Bucs game thread
the locker room is going to be great in about 2 hours until the next game. and by locker room i mean ours on this site where we take the games more serious than the players do.

Re: Redskins at Bucs game thread
how can you say that? how many games has each qb started?
I think what Matty is referring to is the extra two years that Romo had to sit on the sidelines to study and learn the offense, which Campbell has not had a chance to benefit from. |
So F off and move on to a new team then.
Oh Cmon Matt, just b/c the Skins have ripped our hearts out repeatedly, don't you get down lil buckaroo, just Keep the Faith in Joe Gibbs, he will prevail!!!! |

How does riding the bench and learning the offense for an additional 2 seasons not count?? C'mon dude don't be so ignorant. |

Hey in the "Is JC responsible for this loss" thread someone just compared JC to Ramsey. I think I died inside a little. You wanna see ignorance. Visit that thread. |

What's up with the leave it to beaver quips? F off with your negativity, losing hurts enough without "one of your own" pissing on the parade. |

JC is not responsible for this loss. He is the one bright thing Gibbs and Company have done. The future is with Jason Campbell.

This schizophrenic team identity makes predicting anything impossible, and makes hoping for playoff spot an exercise in nothing but faith and good feelings since there's no consistent metric on which to base anything.
IMO this all stems from our team not having an identity and it starts at the top. When the Skins were great in Gibbs 1.0 they had an identity, power running to set up play action down the field. Physical run stopping defense. Well coached, great halftime adjustments, great special teams. In Gibbs 2.0 it appears there are too many chiefs (read egos) and not enough indians on the coaching staff and in the front office. I've said this before, Snyder and Gibbs need to meet after the season. Move Gibbs into the front office as the CEO/GM. Get rid of Cerrato, let Gibbs hire a new head coach and let the new coach bring in a whole new coaching staff. Gibbs as GM can worry about the long term vision of the franchise and built it to win championships like Gibbs 1.0 and his NASCAR teams. Week to week it appears we are changing offensive philosophies and defensively we dont consistently shut people down or make good in game adjustments. Today the defense played well, but we were playing against a backup QB. |

You don't place any blame on JC for throwing 2 picks and fumbling?? I'm not saying to cut him but the fact is he has to shoulder some of the blame for today. |

whatever, romo started week 8 last yr,jason started week 11 so he has 3 more gametime experience, big whoop plus its a different off for romo this yr I'm not happy that dallas has a better qb but thats the way it is,dont wantt to argue with you anymore about it |

Name me 1 damn coach that could make this team better than what it is with the SLEW of Pro bowl caliber players that are injured. I can't name one. Even if you're a Belichik dick sucker, you should realize that our injuries are too massive in many cases. What Joe has done is made this team a competitive team week in and week out dispite our shortcomings (injuries / young qb leader). |

And a full 2 seasons of learning on the bench certainly does count into a QB's development. |
Years? It's his first full season, still gotta give him the benefit of the doubt for now. He still played a good game. He'll learn from this.
But he still hasn't learned from all the other final drive games this year. I'm starting to worry that Jason just doesn't have it in him. And certainly, his giving away games is crushing his confidence. |

There is always something holding us back. Its the same shit every year.... Our signs of greatness are more like flashes of something that could have been, we suck flat out, and we have sucked for years. oh, and by the way.... i just saw walt harris intercept a ball, makes me sick. |

I agree...I think he played well overall, but 3 turnovers are all his fault. You just can't do that. Those 2 picks were like he was purposely throwing to the other team. |

I'll be a fan too, but I'll admit that Gibbs 2.0 was a complete failure. I'll admit that ownership of Snyder and his influence has left this team without a plan, and without a future under the current scheme. Sure, I'll keep watching, but the Skins scar tissue will make the remaining losses painless until the Kool Aid drinkers admit that they are wrong and the Gibbs regime this time around needs to go! |
Plain Out And Simple Redskins Suck!!!!! Go Cowboys!!!
Yeah Go Cowboys! Don't let the Pats bend you over too much in the Superbowl (assuming the Cowboys don't muck it up along the way). For the sake of your bungholes, tell Brady to use some KY so it's not so rough the second time around. |
