That's not being nitpicky because they're completely different. If he steps down he still has his dignity, and he can still feel free to run the FO if he so chooses. If he's fired he's a disgrace, he's gone, and he's a failure.
There's a huge difference.

I proudly vote YES, although I would like to see it done with respect, asking him to retire. Although I think he may step down as HC after this season anyway.

When's the last time the Cardinals were one game away from the NFC Championship? We were there just last year.

I'm not happy with this season either. But there's no one I'd rather have to try and turn things around than Joe Gibbs.

If some of you guys had your way, we'd dump Gibbs and pick up the soon-to-be-dumped Dennis Green. Then we'd really be the Arizona Cardinals of the East.

let me say this again...

HOW COULD IT BE ANY WORSE?! WE ARE 4-8! And 20-28 over the last 3 years. And we have the most talent we have had since the early '90's!

also, as paulskinsfan said... we have to watch teams like New Orleans, San Francisco, New York Jets, etc, etc, etc have success with new coaches.

I'm all for stability in the front office and coaching staff, but if and only if they prove that they are getting the job done! The 20-28 record is not because of lack of talent or anything else. It is b/c of COACHING!

I am sorry, Gibbs 2.0 is a failure. What makes you think we will be able to go 10-6 next year with the same exact group and coaching staff? I don't understand the optimism!
