Capital Weather Gang - (washingtonpost.com)
These guys are real good at getting it right. At least since I started relying on them since the beginning of February. And again, I am right in the 4-8" band. :-( |
Paralyzing? Really? They're using that word?
They used the same graphics a couple of weeks ago, only the "paralyzing" part was centered basically just over MD, so I then proceeded to crap my pants.
Finally you are enjoying our fun, but to be fair most years you are taking it up the snowy butt.
I hate snow I finally was able to clear out my flower beds yesterday and my bushes are hurting but the worst is my Japaneses Maple tree it got split in the middle about a good 3 inches I hope it survives they are not cheap and I love that tree!
You need to fix the tree: 1. Get a bolt that is long enough to go through the tree. 2. Have someone hold the branch back in place as you drill a hole through tree were the split occured. 3. But the bolt through the tree and tighten it so to pull the tree back together. 4. Cut off bolt flush with the nut and tree will heel over time. Just use screws that are not too big and it will work just fine. It will take months even more for the tree to heal so you need to use screws to hold it together. I did this with a Dog Wood tree and it worked great. |
