Re: Choose Your 2014 Redskins Head Coach (Volume 2)
If we're keeping Shanny till the end of the season simply to avoid the questions of who runs TE offense till then, we'll ok. But for the sake of all that's decent he has to go the second out season ends. I've never seen such sloppy play, undisciplined, unprepared and totally unworthy of pro football standards. Shanny and HIS team are an embarrassment to the league. I can't imagine any franchise wanting a Shanahan on the payroll, but I'm praying Snyder has finally seen the light.

Even if the Redskins go out and beat the Giants by three TDs next week, he's still dead man walking.
You also don't have to worry about the Redskins beating anyone by three TDs. He made a desperation nothing-to-lose power play in Week 15 to try to change some minds, and then he lost to two of the weakest teams on this years schedule. He's toast. |
I like the idea of morrocco brown as gm and darrell bevel as coach
I like this too, but Danny should fire up Redskins one load a Brinks safe, fly to Palo Alto, CA and offer David Shaw an offer he can't refuse. Shaw to me is a can't miss coach. |

Shaw is my number one choice, yeah people say he's boring on O but so was Jim Harbaugh and look what he has done and is it true that he's going.to Texas?? Word here is they r really going after Jim |
Re: Choose Your 2014 Redskins Head Coach (Volume 2)
Jim is not going to Texas, he's getting an extension. I like Todd Bowles as a darkhorse candidate, love his aggressive D style like his mentor Petitbone.

I know there is no possibility of this happening but I want Greg Williams back.
I change my vote from Todd Bowles to Greg Williams. |

Re: Choose Your 2014 Redskins Head Coach (Volume 2)
I think all the Greg Williams guys can get on the Rex Ryan band wagon

Re: Choose Your 2014 Redskins Head Coach (Volume 2)
I really do not see the negative in bringing RG3's college coach to town. I think the familiarity alone would be a positive, and I do not see our offense sputtering and shaky like it is this year. Hire the best DC you can find, and let him have carte blanche on defensive scheme/players. Promote Bruce Allen to president, and get a new special teams and secondary coach. It can be done. I think Briles will be a good fit here, better than Shanahan.

Just not anyone named Shanahan. That is all.

Until the right GM is installed...does not matter.

I don't want them to hire Briles, partly because I don't know how he's going to adapt to the overall NFL environment vs. his current 'cushy' spot and also because of the perception issues that will overshadow everything. However IF it happens, then they better win quickly and win big otherwise it will be another mess. The only way I'd be comfortable with Briles is if he's got a really strong staff with at least one high level assistant with former NFL head coaching experience that won't be a distraction a la Gregg Williams or Rex Ryan. |
