Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread
damnit, the giants got a steal in the seventh round. We should've taken Mcphearson, i swear.
He hasn't made the final roster yet.
|
Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread
If Anwar is still there at 250 and we don't take him, I am gonna puke.
|
Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread
the only guys left in freefall now:
tim day (TE) stanley mcclover (DE) |
If Anwar is still there at 250 and we don't take him, I am gonna puke.
he's a 4.6 guy isn't he? if we passed on mccphearson and dee webb, there's no way we'd even consider anwar. |
Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread
Anwar is a 4.52, 5'11.5', 193
|
Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread
Anwar is too slow
|
Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread
carolina takes mcclover in the 7th... that's two good players they've taken this late. i hate them.
|
Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread

Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread
what about this guy
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/football/2006/draft/players/1165.html a little short, but faster. If nothing else, take Vick, give it a shot. Risk is high, upside is high. |
Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread
I want McClover!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
|
Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread
seahawks take plackemeier... damn.

He's not as good as dee webb and mcphearson, who we already passed up though :( |
Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread
cedric humes ia a quality 7th round signing by the steelers
|

But if anyone can fix em up, you gotta think Gibbs could be that guy. |
Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread
setterstrom (OG) is a good late pickup.
|
Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread
how about CB Eric Bassey 6ft 195lbs 4.33 from Oklahoma
|
Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread
setterstrom (OG) is a good late pickup.
16 rep Setterstrom? Still good value in round 7. He has great techniques, he just has to hit the weightroom.
Position?
CB |
Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread
OK, we are coming up on it. I still think Anwar would be good (supposed to have good skills, just a little slow), Dion would be good, or take a chance on Vick.
|
Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread
CB
My bad.
|
Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread
hope we grab a Corner with this selection (Please no DT RB WR S or QB)
|

round 7 is for 3rd stringers and projects. all the 2-4 round guys ended their falls already. the best value left is tim day, but he doesn't really fill a need for us in any way. he's like robert johnson without NFL experience. |
Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread
i'd like dion byrum here or another OL. there's no real OL talent rated above 3rd stringer though right now.
torp (P) or drouzon quillen (6'6" 4.5 WR) should be UDFA priorities... |
Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread
we're on the clock
|
Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread
Anwar, Dion or Vick.
|
Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread
Oh well.
|
Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread
kevin simon MLB is the pick
|
Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread
OK Skins, get on the phone and call Anwar and Dion.
|
Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread
kevin simon is alright, he's an ILB that was projected to miss the 7th round by one slot.
|
Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread
Kevin Simon
Height: 5-10 | Weight: 235 | 40-Time: 4.91 Official Bio Strengths: Flies around the field and makes plays sideline-to-sideline...Very instinctive and always manages to be around the action...Excellent athlete with very good speed...Does a solid job when dropping into coverage...Explosive and a sure tackler...Versatile and can play multiple positions...Still has some upside since he has missed a lot of action...Could be had at a bargain point in the draft. Weaknesses: Has some major durability issues and has essentially missed three full seasons due to two knee injuries and an ankle surgery...Is vastly undersized for the position...Will have trouble taking on and shedding blockers...Is very confident to the point that it is bordering on cocky...Will be a risky pick and has a very high bust factor...Will need to be cleared by each teams medical personnel. Notes: Could project to either inside or weakside linebacker at the pro level...When healthy no one disputes his talent and ability, but to this point that is a 50/50 proposition with him...If he can stay on the field some team may have a steal, but he is very much a boom or bust type of prospect...Let the buyer beware. |
Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread
only knock is his height, everything else is a ok
|
Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread
here it goes, i bet the raiders take vick...
al davis has a hard on for fast players. |
Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread
...and his health
|
Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread
ummm what about his 4.9 speed???
or the fact that he's 5'10" If we are taking a MLB here why would they not look at Kai Parham from UVA. He was very productive in college and if they obviously aren't worried about speed he would be a much better pick. |

However he didn't continue to develop. He's always had the body. And I thought he would be given a look by the 3-4 teams. |
Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread
so who did oakland take?
