Re: Kirk Cousins 365 thread
I said salary/ cap hit of almost $25 million. Why help Dallas get rid of someone they are going to cut. He is not worth 14 million, even if that is all the Redskins would be liable for..... there is a $5.7 million dollar bonus in 2017 too
I thought you were saying we would be on the hook for $25m. Either way none of this makes sense. |

This shit is getting just out there lmfao!! A 3 team trade n the NFL??? When was the last time that happened??? Idk what to believe anymore.

I've said this for years, Tony is a beast when healthy but he's 37 now.... I honestly don't think the skins want Kirk anymore

Re: Kirk Cousins 365 thread
Here's what might be happening:
- Kirk's pissed off and doesn't want to play for the Redskins. - His agent is telling the Redskins that Kirk wants a trade to SF and only SF. - SF wants Kirk but they don't want to give up the #2 pick in the draft. If I were negotiating for the Redskins, at this point I would: - Tell Kirk and his agent that I would try to trade him to SF. - I would also tell them that if I can't get a fair trade, they have four choices: They can agree to accept a trade elsewhere, they can resume negotiations, Kirk can sign the Franchise Tag deal, or Kirk can sit out the 2017 season. - I would tell SF that the only way they can get Kirk is by way of a deal that starts with the #2 pick and that the Skins will be keeping their #17 pick. There will be no swap of 1st Round picks. - Then I wouldn't worry about it anymore. Whatever happens happens. |
Re: Kirk Cousins 365 thread
If this trade goes down, the number 2 overall pick would go to Dallas. That's crazy as shit and makes no sense for the Skin's. Romo is not worth a first round pick at age 37.

So then we have two injury prone Qbs.. makes perfect Redskins sense
|
Re: Kirk Cousins 365 thread
Dumbest rumor ever. In that case, just take the 2nd pick for yourself. Draft 2nd and 17th. Trade a later pick for AJ McCarron.

i would agree with this 100% . . . AJ McCarron would be pretty good IMO . . . and we wouldn't be helping Dallas . . . no way this BS rumor happens. |
Re: Kirk Cousins 365 thread
Even if this rumor is fake its still another thing to make this organization look bad. Why do we have to deal with this shit every year?? The Redskins hands down are the worst organization with the worst owner.

People speculating and talking out their asses. Even Tandler says so:
It’s officially ridiculous. Says here on NFL site that the Cowboys would end up with the No. 2 overall pick. No way. |

That trade rumor he is reporting as news would be the the worst trade ever in Redskins history. We lose Cousins in his prime and get one foot in the grave Romo? What kind of horse shit is that? Why is there so much talk of Romo and the Redskins? The guy is one hit away from retirement. Anyone that thinks he can stay is smoking the same sticky ickey as Ian Rappaport. If Snyder brings Romo to Washington I will officially quit being a Redskins fan. I will also fly to Redskins park and let Snyder know he needs to stop making football decisions by kicking him in the balls. |

Re: Kirk Cousins 365 thread
"FAKE NEWS" ANYONE? This would be the dumbest move in NFL history. Romo will be released if nobody comes knocking on the door. Snyder would lose $$$$$$$ due to pissed off fans. I don't think everyone will get on the Romo bandwagon, knowing he will be destroyed by week 5. If this does indeed go down, I will just take my attention elsewhere. Dan Snyder will seem to me more interested in running a reality soap opera than a professional football team.

Re: Kirk Cousins 365 thread
Why would anyone want Romo? IF the Skins would get pick#2 straight up from San Fran, they could get Watson or Trubisky. These lame ass writers are writing anything to justify their really useless jobs.

Re: Kirk Cousins 365 thread
Yeah I'm not buying this one just yet. Too outlandish. If we ended up with some picks coming back to us it might sound more plausible, but Kirk for Romo, with the 2 going to Dallas and no picks coming back to WSH makes no sense.
Let's see if Rap finds out more details about picks exchanging hands. If it starts to sound more balanced then it may be time to start paying attention. |

He eventually will be released. The guy wouldn't last past week 5 or 6 and we play the AFC West in 2017. Get the #2 pick and draft a QB and help bolster the D with any additional picks. Snyder would tank his own team if the deal goes down as Rap s suggesting. |

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
He won't make much money from it. Romo only has two seasons left tops, and that is if he stays healthy. He is in the same division and we play the AFC West this coming season. Chances are he is going to get throttled and any real fan with half a brain knows that. This is Rappaport just throwing stuff out there to get click bait to pay his salary. Offseason is way overhyped so they feel the need to have to write stuff every frigging day. If anything happens it will be a trade with San Fran moving up to #2 and maybe some other picks. Why Romo is even in the conversation is beyond me, and that is the issue that just cries out "Bullshit"!!!!!!! |
Re: Kirk Cousins 365 thread
The Kirk Cousins to Dallas is really picking up steam now. Can't rule anything out with Snyder....

Skins won't do it unless it brings multiple picks. Only way that the Skins would come out looking like anything resembling a winner in the deal. Dallas can keep Romo to release him. I rather have Watson or Trubisky at the helm. |

Agree with that. And looking at his twitter feed, it becomes clearer what he meant. The first tweet was to say the 49ers, Redskins and Cowboys are talking three team deal. But then the next tweet says "playing that forward", it could be Cousins, Romo and picks to the Cowboys. So he knows they're talking but he doesn't know compensation, he's speculating about that using the language "playing that forward." |

Kirk is on the upswing, Tony is at the end of his rope. That would be the end of the road for me I think. Seriously, the product Snyder puts out is a big tease, but in the end not much comes from it. To quote Danny Glover in Lethal Weapon " I am getting too old for this shit!" and indeed this circus is just becoming boring. But I am still in the camp this is all BS or just feelers being put out. |

Why would you want Romo? He would be nothing more than a stop gap and you would lose a first round pick. If this deal goes down we need the #2 pick to get the QB of our choice. If this deal goes down and we don't get any multiple picks and Romo goes down, Snyder will be toast. Folks are really getting tired of the constant drama, the dumb moves, etc. If all of this goes down and 2017 is the end of Gruden and co, Skins fans in DC need to do what Lions fans did here about 10 years ago and either don't show up or come in and wear those paper bags on their heads. That woke up the Fords to start trying to really build a winner. Have to hurt them in the pocketbook. Too many cool things to do in and around DC to justify putting up with that garbage. Damn Maryland had a good recruiting season, they will be making a bit of a comeback, and of course there is VA Tech. This is really getting old!!!! |
