Republican leadership continues to use one of the worst natural disasters in U.S. history as political leverage.

On Monday, House Speaker Mike Johnson told CNN’s Manu Raju that there should be “conditions” on the proposed federal aid to California in the wake of the deadly wildfires in Los Angeles County.

I'm surprised they haven't gone with the "god is punishing the libs for their evil wicked ways" angle.

Jon Stewart had a good bit on it. Everything is weaponized now.

Seems like the Dems just can't learn from their mistakes.

IMO it's more the Candidates then it is the Politics. Republicans will learn.

Oh, it's most definitely the politics given the change in voting patterns of traditional Democratic groups. Native Americans , traditionally one of the strongest Dem voting blocks completely flipped and Dems lost a lot more than usual among black and Hispanic voters. This was mostly based on economic choices but that doesn't explain why NAs went much further. What do you think the Dems did to piss off NAs over above all other groups? (I'm convinced it was the culture war actions over the last 5 years that did that - NAs were basically told by non-NA cultural Warriors to sit down and shut-up, that they knew what was good for them and then those warriors proceeded to destroy much of what NAs liked, ostensibly on behalf of NAs).

Due to cold, Trump’s inauguration is being moved inside.

So, it won’t be crowd size but tv ratings; which should be lower than 2017.

Convenient excuse to hide the pathetically sparse crowd

Executive actions some good, some bad but the one that is going to be remembered is the Gulf of America, much like some of the old Roman Emperors crazy edicts are remembered above most of the other things they did. This is Trump's naming a horse to the Senate moment.

Corrupt and anti democratic. Biden proves again he is everything he accused Trump of.

A disgraceful end to a failed Presidency

The only country that will call it Gulf of America, is the U.S. Everyone else will call it Gulf of Mexico.

I think you missed my point. That specific executive action is something that will stick to Trump's history as a lunatic action, not that the action itself will take.

Be honest , do you think this will be his only one?

Unbelievable, Trump has the press in the Oval Office taking questions from them unbridled while he sign executive orders.

Just having a conversation.

Biden couldn’t do this…his handlers would never allowed it and frankly he didn’t have the stamina.

You may not agree with him, but he sits there answers and tells you what he thinks.
