I never liked the whole DMV thing weither but I've come to accept it. If you listen to 95.5 or 93.9 then you'll hear it about 500 times in 2 sentences so I feel like Ron Burgundy and I just say When in Rome.....

I'll tell you what my pet peeve is. When I get in the bathroom first and you still have to sit next to me and take your morning dook. WAIT LIKE I DID !!!! I mean come on,...I'm sitting there flushing like 40 times just so I can care about you every single time I have to fart or send a brown bomb to the ocean. F you guy next to me !
my man you know that a lot of us claim DC and the most appropriate way for it is that claim the DMV meaning the DC Metro area... ain't enough of DC area to really claim it especially as seeing where the stadium, etc, fans are

man we DMV.. most of us ain't in DC so if you wanna try to claim DC then go for it.. you gonna be lonely and plus the stadium ain't in DC anyways
My new big pet peeve is OBX stickers on people's cars. I had a discussion about it on Facebook and jdlea had some good points, but I'm driving around and people actually have vanity plates with OBX in it (I've seen at least 6 just in my town, OBX4US, LUVOBX, etc.).

I'm like, "Does that make you better than normal people?"

I mean I've been to nice beaches before but I don't have Hawaii on my license plate.
over a decade late myman

I feel you. I'm from Landover near Seat Pleasant but let me be out of the state or the country and someone askes where I'm from, DC just rolls off the tongue. Then I can clarify with I'm not in DC but I live in such and such. Or I'll always use DC as the base point. That's just how it is. The reason I don't say Maryland is because people always assume that I'm from Baltimore, to which I always reply by pointing to my wife and saying, "She is, I'm not."

From now on that's my excuse! Naw man those aren't dent's they are 3-D Dent decals. And the rust spots, you guessed it, scratch and sniff rust decals, why don't you just bend right over and see what it smells like!:spank:
That's extremely interesting. I always wanted to know where it came from...

On a side note, I apologize to anyone who has this sticker just because the like it. :D

It's the people who get CUSTOM freaking license plates that deserve to be called the d-bags.
If you notice most of the custom OBX plates are from VA and thats their way of saying "I live in Va but I actually own a place in the outer banks or go there very often". They are local Want-A-Be.

Re: What's your pet peeve?

In N.Carolina, if you live on the outer banks, your license plate's prefix is "OBX". You can only get that if your residence is actually on the outer banks.

The reason I don't say Maryland is because people always assume that I'm from Baltimore, to which I always reply by pointing to my wife and saying, "She is, I'm not."
I'm pretty much the same way. I've lived my whole life in MD but I was born in DC, only because that's where my mom's doctor was stationed out of at the time. Sibley Hospital, holla!

Since I went to a MD state school most of the people were either from the DC area or the Baltimore area, so that's when I really started saying I'm from DC. It got worse once I moved to Baltimore a few years back.

Anyway, back to the thread: it's gotten to the point where I get completely enraged when I see people not using their turn signals. If I'm behind you and you signal that you're about to make a left on a busy road I know to slow down and prepare to stop; but if you don't signal I might just assume you're tapping your breaks but I have no idea you could completely stop in the middle of the road. I really hate other drivers.

One of my biggest triggers...not using signals. I honk at all of the inconsiderate morons.

We really couldn't share the road. I don't use signals all the time - if i am in a turn only lane you can figure it out yourself - and I seriously hate people who honk. I have slowed to a near crawl once when a lady was rushing through and honking like she owned the road. What was funny is once i started driving again she sped around in front of me, and slowed down to a near crawl, which didn't bother me but I found hilarious as she was now slowing herself down.

They should just remove car horns. Half the time you can't even figure out who is honking at who anyway.
