Re: ***2010-2011 College Football Thread***
Any chance that Spurrier dumps the Cocks and goes back to Florida? I understand if he doesn't want to rub the Cocks the wrong way, but wouldn't Meyers's absence make his interest rise a little?

I doubt that happens. Spurrier is pushing 70 years old. I have full confidence in Jeremy Foley. I think he's close to, if not the best Athletic Director in the country. He'll get a solid, younger replacement (my fingers are crossed for Dan Mullen). I'd also be happy with Bo Pelini or Jim Harbaugh, or even Chris Peterson if he ever leaves Boise State. I also wonder if Gary Patterson would consider leaving TCU.... |
Re: ***2010-2011 College Football Thread***
Shit, age hasn't stopped Joe Paterno. Though I consider him more like a figure head these days. I doubt that Spurrier goes back but it would make one helluva story a la Joe Gibbs.

I'll definitely take Will Muschamp. Really solid hire. Great recruiter, knows the SEC well, only 39, and lived in Gainesville for 10 years as a kid. I'd rather have Urban of course, but I'm very happy with this hire for my alma mater.

Georgia and Bama were the bottom feeders of the conference this year and they lost by a combined 7 points. Hardly "owned." FSU is a good ball club, and that's a good game right now with some time left. How can you say the ACC is owning the SEC? Because of one game that isn't even over? Lol @ you. Auburn, LSU, and Bama all have yet to play. And expect Florida to smack Penn St. Don't get too excited yet. I think Auburn beats up Oregon. |
Re: ***2010-2011 College Football Thread***
Georgia should be ashamed. Thats why: good coaching>recruiting...always.
Hats off to Jimbo Fisher first season, FSU is gonna be back sooner than later with Bowden steppin down. |
Re: ***2010-2011 College Football Thread***

Two SEC teams in a row? I'm 99% sure the Gators won't beat PSU. |

UGA should be good with the talent on that team period. No excuses to lose to UCF |
Re: ***2010-2011 College Football Thread***
The line up today is garbage . Maybe TCU / Wisconson ends up being a great game , most of the games look about as exiting as the Panthers vs buffulo . Im not saying that some of the games won't be exciting , I just think we could have had a better line up .Happy new year WP .

AJ Green and a decent QB. UGA stinks plain and simple. |

I forgot about Miss St vs. Michigan. I expect Dan Mullen and Co to end Rich Rod's tenure in Ann Arbor in that one. |
