Re: Official Redskins Off-Season News & Rumors-Part Trois
He's won a playoff game. So maybe he's at least on the same level as Tony Romo in that respect, lol!
I have to admit, those games that he won in Denver were pretty exciting to watch. He knows how to win ballgames in dramatic fashion. I think under the right QB coach, he'd probably go on to have a pretty decent career in the NFL, but it's fashionable to not like Tebow as a quarterback.
I think it's a bit more than that. He's garbage as a passer. That's what it comes down to. |

Fact is, he's not accurate, his throwing motion is horrible, and he's simply not cut out to be a NFL QB. Great college QB, but it's a different game with different athletes. |
Re: Official Redskins Off-Season News & Rumors-Part Trois
I want Tebow for Team Chaplin, but that's not a roster spot. I love it how there is so much hate for Tebow because he can't play QB, but so much love for this Jason Collins because he said he was Gay. Jason Collins has never done much on a basketball court either. Who would you rather hang out with? Tebow or Collins? Maybe Tebow can't play QB, so what, he is a great human being. I could care less about Jason Collins or the support he is getting. Our world is so messed up right now.
Both. Tebow is a cool dude. Collins is a cool dude. Both are terrible players (Tebow at QB, respectively. He's a good athelete though) and currently jobless. You can't dog either guy's character, they seem like good dudes but they are both pretty lackluster at their jobs. You're comparing apples to oranges though when you compare the hate Tebow gets for being a bad QB to Collins being gay. That has nothing to do with his ability as a basketball player. I don't like Collins because he's a bench warmer. |
Re: Official Redskins Off-Season News & Rumors-Part Trois
With tebow talk and redskins name change talk I just wanna blow my offseason brains out. C'mon guys we just drafted a bunch of promising and interesting rookies. You all have no other thoughts on the guys on our team or even still employed in the NFL? You would rather talk about tebow who is currently unemployed?? Seriously? It's the kinds of people here who continue to talk about tebow that's the problem with ESPN (& NFLN) with why they talk about him so much. People like you who care and continue to talk him.

It's weird how much we agree on things lately. |
Re: Official Redskins Off-Season News & Rumors-Part Trois
Yes they will. I think once Gomes gets cut, Amerson will pick up 24 (or if Royster gets cut 22 is another possibility). Also 48 is a possibility with Bernstein being a huge question mark. I find it hard to believe that Phillip Thomas will change from 41, especially since the past people to wear that number (Madieu Williams, Kareem Moore, Matt Bowen)
I hope Thomas gets 24. 41 just doesn't seem like a DB number to me. |

I agree. 41 is like a FB or LS number. |
Re: Official Redskins Off-Season News & Rumors-Part Trois
Those will change after cuts I'm sure.
I don't think Amerson or Reed will. Thomas might. I think Jenkins and Thompson stay that was as well. |
Re: Official Redskins Off-Season News & Rumors-Part Trois
The Redskins just announced rookie jersey numbers: Amerson: 39, Jamison: 47, Jenkins: 57, Rambo: 29, Reed: 86, Thomas: 41, Thompson: 35.
Do players get any choice in numbers, or does the team just assign them? |

Though some may disagree Madieu Williams is an NFL DB, and so was Kareem Moore Many of these numbers will change though |
Wasn't Ronnie Lott 42
How'd that work out? |
Alvin Walton was 40

Many of these numbers will change though
well thats why I said that he's needs to change that ugly number, because Madieu Williams, Kareem Moore, and Matt Bowen all wore that number. 42 Is good. Like Matty said thats Ronny Lotts number. Also was Darren Sharpers number. 43 is also a good number with Polamalu wearing it. 44 NOT HAPPENING (Riggo) 45 Ugly number and Mike Sellers wears it 46 Alfred has something to say about that 47 John Lynch did a damn good job in this league. But Cooley fans will go bonkers over it. 48 Bernstein Bear has it now, but if he's cut thats a better number than 41 49 ehh better than 41 but I think 49 is retired for Bobby Mitchell. |
