The whole what we gave up or used argument is basic semantics.

We "gave up" 2 firsts and a second. Sent 3 firsts but got 1 back leaving 2.

We "used" 3 firsts and a second. Since the first we got back was "used" to draft RG3.

It all just depends on how you phrase the statement.

This whole argument reminds me of a joke.

How do you confuse an idiot?
Put him in a round room and tell him to go pee in the corner.

When you have this argument, you are the idiot trying to find a corner in a round room since either one is correct.
