Watson can’t rehabilitate his image under Snyder, he will just be another clown in the DC clown car.

Watson coming here makes Washington look even worse (if that's possible) than they already do. I can hear it now, "it figures the only QB a sex scandal ridden team can get is a creepy perv." Would him getting the team to win help? Yes but the stink of sex scandal on him and even more so Washington may be too powerful for winning to overcome.

Washington needs to be smart enough stay away from Watson and Watson needs to be smart enough to know coming to Washington wont help his image.

So Wilson to Denver. That sucks

Re: 2022 veteran QB options

Back to reality:

Trubisky has a 25-13 record as a starter since 2018; his .658 win percentage is sixth-best among quarterbacks in that time span (min. 20 starts), behind only Patrick Mahomes, Drew Brees, Lamar Jackson, Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers. This tells me the physical traits have always been there. Encouragingly, the ex-Bear appears to have spent 2021, his lone season backing up Josh Allen in Buffalo, working on his mentality and approach to playing winning football:

"Going to Buffalo really opened my eyes," Trubisky told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler last month. "After being in Chicago for four years, there was only one way I knew how to do things. [Being] in Buffalo and [having] a different way of doing things, you learn what's possible. It helped me get back to instinctual football and using my talents rather than overthinking.

"You can't be afraid to make mistakes. When guys are playing free, you can be at your best. I wanted to learn how [the Bills] helped Josh, and I saw that firsthand."

The 27-year-old signal-caller appears ready to turn the page and get another chance to become a starter in the NFL. With plenty more to offer, he should get a shot for a team that's looking for competition at the position.

I'd take anyone under center at this point over Heinecke.

Why? Did you seriously think we had a chance?

[quote=AnonEmouse;1312062]Why? Did you seriously think we had a chance? In a sense it actually helps us that he and Rodgers are off the market. Denver aren't going to be chasing a QB in the draft again, which means more chance one of the best picks falls to us at #11. Only Carolina are chasing a QB with a pick before us, maybe Detroit and Atlanta. That means it's more than likely a guy we actually want will fall to us. And if we go after Winston or Trubisky in FA, we have no competition from Denver at least.

Question now is what do Seattle do at QB...[/quote]

They draft one at 9 , which is basically the same as Denver there at 9

I was typing and hit post too soon. :banghead:

I meant to say, Seattle may not be chasing a QB that high with Denvers pick. I still feel one of the top 3 will be there at #11. Or if the folks above us get trigger happy, we could have a blue riband player fall to us as BPA. This isn't doing us any harm either way.

NB AFC West looks like QB central now. That's going to be fun to watch!

Adam S. Says the Giants are most likely the landing spot for Mitch Trubisky. That’s a relief imo.
