You work at a car dealership it should be your busiest weekend of the year.

That part that grinds me is it is someone's work that is off today. My work is caught up theirs is not.
I work in parts, the busiest weekend of the year is the weekend where a lot of accidents or breakdowns happen so we sell more parts.

LOL! So true; I have a book lined up for this afternoon and a two hour lunch. My little bit of work this morning will at least make the morning fly by.

Men who give in to the wives and get minivans. My neighbor, a Giants fan, just got neutered when he traded his BMW in for a Honda Odyssey...ugly one. His wife already has an SUV too!

They have just two kids too, it's the common wife argument..."but what if someone else wants to come along!?"

Really, how often does that happen? And why can't other people drive themselves?

The new Honda Odyssey is probably one of the ugliest cars/vans ever made. It is horrible.

Once when I went to get some parts for my 4Runner me and the boy sat in a fully loaded Toyota Sienna; I mean it was nice. I felt like I was in my living room. I could never bring myself to get one though.

You are partially right, I used to be in sales as of last year. I'm glad I got out of there, it's much better back in parts.

I thought the Odyssey commercial was funny...

I keep telling my wife that if we ever have kids, a full size 4x4 van will be her ride...

I'll second that, and I hate that commercial for it too, where they compare it to the cougar/jaguar/w.e. that animal is, like a minivan is some kind of badass. If I'm thinking sleek cars that compare to an animal like that, I'm thinking sports car. Minivans conjure up images of dudes giving into their wives and buying a practical car that all 3 or more of their kids can ride in.

EDIT: Cpayne with the vid. GJ.

How long does it take to eat a bag of potato chips? All freaking day apparently as I'm learning from the woman who sits near me. The constant crunching is driving me insane.

When at work someone ask me a question, then after I answer, they go and ask someone else, who will in turn come back and ask me the same question. The original question asker goes on the "Dont ask Chico for Shit List"

If I ever have kids the only new car we're getting us a motor cycle so that I can ride separate. I'd rather risk the massive head trauma than have a minivan car pool.

That way, if you walk by it just looks like she's eating a reasonably sized portion instead of pigging out all day.

Or, maybe I'm overthinking this.

Re: What REALLY grinds your gears?

People who write a huge paragraph and decide to leave it instead of breaking it down into a couple smaller paragraphs. You took all that time to write it, why not break it down instead of just having a massive block of text? I'm not going to lie, I tend to skip over paragraphs of people who do that.

In fact, I do that too, but right before I hit the post button, I throw a few spaces in there to split it up. I'm doing that right now. It's not hard. Just look at your big block of text, decide what can be split up into sections, and split it up. As I type this, I have already decided to split it up where my next sentence starts with "In fact,". Boom. Keep reading. Eyes down here buddy. I'm about to hit the Enter button twice, and then click post. *drops mic, walks off stage*

I use to work with this really big lady, she was super cool. One of the nicest and funniest people I have ever meet.

She use to always ask me to go down to Rite Aid and buy a bag of UTZ ridged chips. I bring the bag back and she dump it out and pick out only the curled ones and then throw the rest away. I use to think that was the strangest/funniest thing I have ever seen.

Monkeydad 06-07-2012 09:14 AM

Re: What REALLY grinds your gears?

^

I used to have a coworker who would put a paper towel down on her desk and line up and organize every bag of chips by size and shape into a grid before eating them.

She'd also group like animal crackers together and she had some certain order she'd eat them in that I could never decipher, but before every bite, she'd sit and stare before choosing one.

I don't see how she got any work done with her odd snacking habits. It would take her 2 hours to organize and eat a small bag of chips.

I'd recommend medication but I think that may actually be the problem.

My new (old) snack obsession is Sunflower seeds. If you have not had Bigs brand you are missing out. I seriously spit those things from 3 to 5 everyday at my desk everyday, low calories and keeps my mouth busy. I currently have 8 bags in my office. 2 Dill, 4 Bacon and 2 Franks Red Hot.

If I eat a piece of candy then want a diet soda I have to lick salt in order to get my pallet reset.
