After the injury, whats the possibilty of Hall playing some safety this season? Are Amerson, Breeland, and Culliver sufficient at CB or are we relying on Hall to return to have the cb unit competitive? Im a little concerned with his rehab ability at his age and have read that he may not even be ready for week 1. (Can't find the link on that.)
Hall will be given a chance to compete for the outside cb spot across from cultivar. He will not be playing safety. Hall is a fighter and I expect him to give everything to get back on the field. He doesn't play the nickel corner well, but breeland does... |

Hardy 10 games. pretty sure cowboys structured contract so that any suspended games pay does not count against cap. hit to cowboys cap is minimal. reinforcing the notion that you will sign any scumbag to win a game = check. |

10 games for the things he reportedly did is way too little. He's fortunate there wasn't video I guess

i hear you, i really really do. ive heard more testimony of sex and DV abuse than I care to remember. i used to be the guy who would screen DV walk ins for ex parte POs. black eyes, bruises etc. friday was always busy. your word choice, i cant change that. all i can do is ask. we should be focusing on the actions of the perpetrator, not the victim imo. |

Here's the latest rumor on a trade for Mariota:
"Mark Eckel of NJ.com passed along a rumor that a three-way trade could be in the works between the Eagles, Browns, and Titans, which would allow the Eagles to move up to the No. 2 overall pick to attain Oregon QB Marcus Mariota. Eckel notes that rumor is swirling within NFL personnel meetings that the initial trade would send the Browns’ No. 19 overall pick to the Eagles in exchange for QB Sam Bradford. The Eagles would then send DT Fletcher Cox, LB Mychal Kendricks, and the No. 19 and No. 20 draft picks to the Titans for the No. 2 slot in the draft." |

Re: All things off season 2015.
I read somewhere that an anonymous GM said that there are only 19 legitimate 1st Rounders in this draft. That causes me to think that there may be numerous teams looking to trade up into the middle of the 1st Round for a specific player. I'm thinking there may be more trades than usual in this draft and perhaps better returns than usual for teams that trade down.
I wonder who that GM thinks those 19 players are. I'd bet that we could probably name most of them. Off the top of my head: 2 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 3 OT, 1 C, 1 TE, 1 DT, 4 Edge Rushers, 2 CB = 19. I feel like there ought to be more than 19 legitimate 1st Rounders but I'm no draft expert. |

1st, clearly very few teams see the draft the same. This anon GM may/may not have a minority opinion as it regards the number of "1st round" prospects. 2nd, at the end of the day the draft remains a crap shoot the true answer is to have more rolls of the dice not less. Therefore trading up for a specific player is usually an ineffective proposition in the long term team building perspective. I don't think having fewer perceived 1st round prospects will spurn more teams to chase perceived value. Player 20-32 don't suddenly become inferior prospects because of perception of grades. 3rd, if there are so few ' true' 1st round prospects then why would those 19 teams want to trade down? Its an interesting theory that more trades will happen then usual but I disagree and I also disagree with the anon GM's notion of there only being "19 " 1st round prospects. |

Seems like Gruden has a lot of confidence in Moses. Having Callahan as our new O-Line coach will hopefully help these guys reach their potential.

When was the last time the skins drafted a "can't miss guy"? Was it trent williams? Robert had some Qs and rak was just a bust. Hopefully that changes tomorrow night with our pick.

He couldn't stay healthy at the end here, but his rookie year was great, and overall he was a good player and starter.
Yeah, Trent Williams and before him Chris Samuels seems like "can't miss" players. Thought Lavar Arrington was too, even though he turned out to be Mr. "can't get right" and a turd afterwards (can't believe Snyder put him in the Skins Ring of Fame) he was still a probowler. |

Who's to say Sean wouldn't have become dissatisfied with the coaching merry go round, losing and refuse to extend his contract like Champ Bailey? Just saying.

Sent from my S6 Edge
Losing ST did nothing in the grand scheme in term of Gibbs walking away. Gibbs wasn't dumb. He knew the team was old and that he had no depth. He simply bailed while he could still muster a competitive team. He knew good and well the moves they made were short term and the window had closed. There wasn't anything noble or some higher calling for Gibbs walking away. He simply quit while the getting was good. |
