WORLD EXCLUSIVE: Footage proves bats were kept in Wuhan lab
Sky News Australia

So just want to get a show of hands, you trust the WHO who pushed the evil China propaganda that bats were never in the Wuhan lab? These lying motherfuckers
Never heard anyone say Bats weren't in the Lab. As matter of fact I heard the largest Bat population in China is in Wuhan so run with it. You're not happy unless you're crying.

Yeah wouldn’t think you woulda paid attention. China as well as WHO have said bats were never kept in the wuhan lab…they labeled it a conspiracy theory. It was even parroted by some media cunts here who rather side with a regime currently involved in genocide and slavery, but it’s really no surprise either.

Going to get some beer after work at the local Mart. We opened back up yesterday. Curious to see if the mask required signs are gonna be down. Gonna be interesting how individual businesses make their choices.

I keep one in my pocket. Seems 20% of stores require them around here.

Grocery stores and most places like that dont require them. Walked to 7-11 and they required them, had to walk back get one then walk back to Slevin.

its nice to be almost back to normal.

Yeah I keep 1 in my console and just grab it whenever I get out of car.

The store still had a mask required sign but the employee wasn't wearing one and told me I could take it off. Very conflicting messages lol.

It was very refreshing and but yet still awkward, not wearing it.

Went to the grocery store maskless for the 1st time today. I think CA is pretty well vaccinated. But it was still probably 60/40 in favor of still wearing masks. Would be curious to do a survey if you are vaccinated and still just wearing the masks out of personal choice or just not vaccinated yet.

Felt like the Montagues and Capulets in there. Interesting when it's close to 50/50. Feels like you're getting a few side eyes.

I keep losing my mask since I don't have to wear it anymore but it seems some stores are divided. Had dinner at the Silver Diner in Arlington today and nobody was wearing a mask in there. But went into Wegmans maskless the other day and it felt dirty being in there without one as everyone was wearing theirs.

Also wanted to share this link that I came across in r/NFL regarding their recent decision to ban posts that endorse or promote covid-deniers.

https://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/health/conditions-and-diseases/coronavirus/covid-19-vaccines-myth-versus-fact

I generally trust Johns Hopkins and thought this was an informative FAQ on how the vaccines work and other questions people might have. My aunt is one of those peoples, she gave me a speech last week about how the vaccines actually target your immune system so the next big pandemic your immune system won't be able to fight back which will kill off a ton of people lol. Unfortunately she's beyond saving. Just glad I don't have to see her that often.

I've had COVID and I got vaccinated.

I'd rather get COVID again then live my life in fear of variants. I've done everything asked of me. I want to live my fucking life again. I'm done wearing masks. If a business makes it mandatory, that's their choice, but they won't get my money.

Leave me the fuck alone.

If San Diego County makes them mandatory again, I won't, because they won't have a choice. But if they voluntarily decide to make then mandatory, that's a business decision on their end. I don't think shopping elsewhere for that decision is different than changing your spending habits based on any other decisions you might not like.

Scientist Leading WHO Team Investigating Origins Of Pandemic Reverses Course, Reveals China Pressure Tactics

A top scientist leading the World Health Organization’s investigation into the origins of the coronavirus pandemic believes that it is “probable” that the pandemic originated in a Chinese lab and said that China pressured the WHO team to not look into the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV).

Wow…so the top scientist who lead the world health organization completely walks back his previous statements and says it’s likely the pandemic originated in a lab.

Huge news

And this is the science where China can’t produce an animal that has this:

The two explained that in gain-of-function research, a spike protein is altered for the purpose of making a virus more transmissible or lethal. A specific genomic sequence, CGG-CGG (known as “double CGG”), they said, has “never been found naturally” in “the entire class of coronaviruses that includes CoV-2.” They explained that natural processes could not create a sequence combination if it “isn’t present in any other virus.”

Believe the science right?

your take away is that?

In 2020, he was appointed mission head of the 13 member team of the World Health Organization's investigation into the origins of COVID-19.

The top scientist assigned by the WHO to lead the organization to investigate the origin of covid just backed tracked and says it came from a lab.

The only folks who politicized this topic is libs and media who said this was a conspiracy theory. Own it for once.

This thread is for non-political talk, talking about China creating the virus in a lab is clearly not meant for this thread.

You rather not speak on a major development of covid because in your mind this isn’t fair to China or something?

I believe it is because this is the non political version not because he has a soft spot for China. Clearly your comment belongs there.

When you are over there in that thread remember one thing Chico. Science is not politics. Scientists do not tell you what you want to hear. They tell you what they know when they know it. They simply follow data. So it is quite possible that at one point they believe one thing than data catches up and they draw another logical conclusion based on it. This is why masks and shots and origins and everything else related to the virus changes. Because data changes. Not because they are “backtracking “ or were lying. It is what you, and millions of other people do not understand and it is the sole reason this has become politicized. Because people like you are chomping at the bit to point fingers. Now when Trump says it is the flu and than you hear a tape recording of him saying its deadly - that is lying. When Trump mocks masks and says the boosters are a cash grab for the pharmaceutical companies- that is lying. Yet here you are blaming CNN and the Libs. You are embarrassing yourself. We can discuss this further in the non political thread but unlike Mooby im unable to leave your comment alone. Sorry Mooby. Lets take it over there Chico.

I had to take my dad to one of Northern VA's best ranked hospitals last night after an emergency call from his doctor revealed a blood infection from his test on Monday - probably stemming from his pancreatitis that we've been dealing with since June. 5 hours - just to see a doctor who didn't show up until 1:30 this morning. We walked through the ER on the way to get a ct scan an hour after we arrived (to a full ER waiting room) - literally every available space in the ER had a bed in it and every bed was full. I've never seen anything like it - and this includes the last 4 hospital ER's I've been in with my dad and the 30+ times I've visited him in various hospitals since June. People of all ages and sizes sick, curled up in pain, screaming, thrashing, too weak to move and barely able to complain about their struggles breathing. We had to wait 5 hours just to get a bed in the ER - my dad is still there at the time of this post in the ER waiting for a non-ER bed to open up for him to be admitted.

If you are getting your information from the internet - or from entertainment companies - and not from a legitimate doctor - and you don't have pre-existing conditions that make it uncertain - please get the shot. The FDA would not ruin their credibility approving a vaccine that has no business being approved. This virus is not a partisan virus. It will kill anybody - and there is a vaccine out there that will at least give you a dog in the fight. Help yourself - and help everybody you love and care about. Get the shot.

Thanks guys. Even when he gets out it will be a long and tough road ahead - he has a cyst in his bile duct and he's been on a liquid iv diet for the last 3 weeks that gets injected directly into his arm - so his pancreas will rest and hopefully heal up the cyst caused by a gallstone that was too big to pass. His primary doctor has estimated it could take up to 8 months to return to a normal state where he can eat food again.

The ER - it is hell. My dad was finally able to get a room about 3 hours ago - which is almost 22 hours after arriving at the hospital. Imagine working in that environment - just nonstop patients, no room anywhere, having to prioritize who has higher odds of living, being understaffed and overworked. Meanwhile there are fellow Americans out there accusing you of being some part of a conspiracy to take their freedoms away. This is a situation that is playing out across the country. And it still has the potential to get so much worse.

I long for the days when distrust of leaders only applied to politicians, and not to science. There's nothing sacred anymore.
