Doesnt the same apply to Rambo or Williams?
Last I checked, everyone picked after 99 is, in fact, picked after 99...
There you go. Lol |
Re: Draft talk rounds 2-3
I've been trying hard to like his game tapes, scouting reports, highlights and I just can't. That said, I can agree we should draft a FS in the 4th
Whoever gets Phillip Thomas is one lucky team. With him and Amerson, our secondary would go from one of the worst to the best. Not hating on Rambo, Williams, or Shamarko, but I definitely want Thomas.
I definitely concur. Phillip Thomas is not overrated. He can cover, blitz, create turnovers, and play either safety position. I'd be happy with Duke Williams or J.J. Wilcox too. |

this is why I didn't want Amerson (also see Clemson game). He bites on pump fakes so hard is ridiculous. |

It will be tough to get Wilcox. |

Skins may have to trade up into the fourth and pick two guys. |

He also looked like he expected help over the middle on another and didn't get it. Other than that, he looked like a corner who is willing to get in there and hit. If that is his worst game and I have to compare that with 18 interceptions in two years, I am not that worried. |

Re: Draft talk rounds 2-3
If he didn't get beat on those pump fakes and bite hard on those, he would have been a 1st rounder and we wouldn't have gotten him. That's a maturity, coaching, and discipline issue. That can be coached, size and speed cannot.

Re: Draft talk rounds 2-3
Anybody think we will draft a 3rd qb in the 7th or pick one up as a UDFA? I know we have plenty of qbs on the roster, but there are some really good candidates still available and should be later on. Rex is not long for the team, and neither is Pat White. Drafting a good QB who we could groom behind Kirk in case we eventually trade Kirk away might be something so consider.

I'm with you. There is value there but, the team still has needs elsewhere. I'm against having to ditch the read option plays when Cousins plays (yes he can run those plays but not as effective). There's no need to spend a pick on a QB though. Tebow will be available for peanuts soon... |
