Re: Paintrain's all encompassing 'discuss all things offseason' thread (Version 2.0)
I've been friends with Ryan Shazier's father for a number of years so I was happy to see him picked in the first round. It's been pretty cool the past few days seeing the behind the scenes pics from the draft, pics with Goodell and from his introductory presser. I was hoping he'd come to the Redskins but I knew he'd be long gone before we'd have a chance for him.

Love it! I tried to say the same thing but it took me 3 paragraphs. As SS shows us, brevity is the soul of wit. F Lavar!! Happy Mother's Day!! |

He was fine going anywhere but his folks are glad he stayed in the Eastern part of the country. His pops is a pastor so he probably won't travel to every game but the location is good for all of them. |
Re: Paintrain's all encompassing 'discuss all things offseason' thread (Version 2.0)
i think im the last dude still rocking a faded beat up Arrington jersey.
Might have to change that this season. Cant really defend the guy anymore and he is awful on his radio show. |
Be honest though dude, you were perhaps the most outspoken on the board against the trade when it happened based on the cost so of course you're going to feel this way. Absent a Redskins Super Bowl win and a Ram collapse, you're not going to say otherwise.
Anyone objective would say it's still far too early to fully judge the trade. All those first round picks and the Rams still haven't broken .500. We won the division & had a 3-13 season. Personally, I'll take the division title rather than a bunch of players.
Not true. I give them a slight edge right now. Certainly not a big one. |

Back when RG3 hadn't yet been painted as a coach killer and a diva and an egotistical boy emperor. Sad. Just sad. I hope like heck that Manziel and all the other young draftees don't fall prey to the same kind of media a**holes that RG3 was victim to. Manziel's reputation isn't as good as RG3's once was, but he's still a media darling...for now. |

I think Manziel has an uphill climb ahead of him as far as his reputation goes. As far as Griffs rep going South, Im pretty sure most people realize it was Shannys fault for the most part. I think griff still has a pretty good rep. |
